fantastic action fighting scenes QUENTIN DID GREAT JOB WITH BOTH KILL BILLS. I suggest you see a movie called FOUR ROOMS.
This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Forget the violence what makes Quintin Tarantino is brlliant is dialog and it is the scenes between the Bride (Uma Thuman) and Bill (David Carradine) that make this movie.
Very dodgy movie..No substance, although the buried scene was good.
these 2 movies are realy one movie and are confising without the other only half remembering the first while watching the secound not as much humour or gore in fight scenes as first movie many parts watching made no sense first time through
I liked Volume 2 better than the first. There was more in depth exploration of the bride and her motives. A good story well told by Tarentino.
It would have helped to have seen "Kill Bill:Vol 1", so that you had some idea of the ongoing plot. The film itself seemed to alternate from periods of frenetic action to almost deep introspection - that is Tarrantino, I guess, in his directing. Three stars - passable.
Didn't really hold me. Have seen better
Fantastic, love the Kill Bills
exceptional exceptional exceptional. Lots of references to movie genres that influenced tarantino's film making, plus some terrific set pieces, a great score & Carradine steals the show. A must see
Just fabulous. I saw the first one, and although I enjoyed it, was a bit mystified as to what was going on. But it is all explained in the sequel. Great cast, great acting, would give it 10 stars if I could!
This second chapter in the story is perhaps even better then the first. It made us want to watch the first one again to see what we may have missed.
Gratuitous violence. I AM a lover of Tarantino, but this is utter rubbish and I was so bored I fell asleep...rubbish!
Utter rubbish.Absolutely ridiculous plot and acting. Also far too long
Maybe I just don't get Tarantino....I just didn't think anything could be boring after shroom's,this movie proved me wrong...and the first one's worse!
Good movie and the action was great.
not as good as the Volume 1... but still gorgeous and nearly not to be missed!!
Very good follow up to Kill Bill Vol.1 - without the same level of violence and bloodshed.
You can't see the first without the second, they are different but both part of the whole.
A little better than Volume 1. Unfortunately I wasn't emotionally touched where it was apparent I should have been. Anyway it was still an excellent movie, excellent photography, score and acting.
For those who enjoy kung fu etc. Good show, I enjoyed it.
Plenty of action - time passed very quickly. Think the 1st film was better
What an epic - loved this volume as much as the first
I actually enjoyed this more than the first installment. It had been so long since I saw kill bill 1 that maybe my taste had changed or maybe that after the first one I was not anticipating much and was pleasantly suprised.
Not my favorite film but ok
I found the movie a bit confusing at first because it was in black and white for a while, but there was a reason for that.I found it excellent and a great yarn.I should have watched Kill Bill 1 first because it was like reading a book from the middle to the end.
Had enjoyed Kill Bill: Volume 1 and this was just as good. Not as much action in this as Vol 1, but can stand alone without seeing first part.
A great follow up to kill bill 1, not as good as the first but still a must see if you enjoyed kill bill 1.
If you liked the first you need to see the second. Quentin Tarantino's imagination and film production should be a genre all of itself. There is at least one Gruesome scene in this folks which many would call unnecessary but its Tarantino and it is necessary.
This is the best movie I have watched in a while. Go woman power!!
Great sequel to kill bill 1, definitely not to be missed. Go Woman Power!!
Fabulously beautiful. The violence is presented as symbolic and not gratuitous. I loved it as much as Vol 1.
Almost perfect moviemaking art. *sigh* The audience is in the hands of a master who acknowledges the genre and then transcends. Great tragedy is to act knowing the consequences are unbearable, whatever action is taken.
Part 2 of the fantastic Kill Bill movie, the first was just one big never ending action movie that built up a huge pace, this is just not quite what I expected in part 2, still a very watchable movie and still very good but just a little disappointing when compared to the utterly fantastic first Kill Bill.
If David Carradine had given as much action as he gave words the movie would have been improved 100%. He simply could not shut up. Perhaps he's getting too old for the action these days!!
If you've seen the first Kill Bill, Volume 2 is not to be missed.
Interesting plot.
Great finish.
I was impressed with the film.
had to see to find out the follow up. Good ending.
There is a brief reference to the original movie on which much of this film of 2 parts is based - BB and Bea watch "Shogun Assassin" as the 4 year old's bedtime movie. All you experience of the film they are watching on an unseen screen is the voiceover at the start of it - it is of a young boy speaking of his father's assassination work in feudal japan - see it and then consider if tarantino is still a "genius" if this is your view.
Even more tedious than in part1 is this installment's long monologues, designed to join the dots for lazy viewers, characteristic of all his films - the worst of these scenes was Elle telling Budd about the qualities of the black mamba, which has just bitten him extensively on the face, as he writhes on the floor in his last moments - info she happened to have googled then transcribed onto her little note pad ..... please! the other bucket reaching scene was Bill lecturing Bea (and unapologetically us) on the mythology of superhero comics - pseudo-intellectual trash.
please dont wonder why QT does not get Academy Award gongs for this stuff - its just visual fairy floss -"pulp fiction" if u will
It didn't really keep me interested. Bit of a fizzer.
Volume 2 is more tastefully done compared to Vol 1.
Great fight scenes
Typically quirky Tarintino dialogue
Good story
Tarantino at his best - loved it!
Pretty good. Watchable, but didn't live up to the hype. However, good movie to just kick back and watch (as long as you have both; don't know how I would've went if I had to wait for the other part).
Very cute, anime meets tex mex. A little predictable, but definately full of action. Loved it.
Very cure anime meets tex mex. Definately worth watching.
I am usually such a huge fan of Quinten Tarantino but just like the first Kill Bill (which was the first movie I ever walked out of!)I found this just too violent and disturbing - and I have a very strong stomach!
Confusing, watched it twice, still confusing.
I loved this movie, it was like anime made live action. I loved the use of color and lighting as well as the unorthodox use of martial arts and animation. Definately worth watching.
I find the 'Kill Bill: Volume 2' quite boring.
I love anything QT does and this is no exception! A bit slow for some people and also some have found it pretentious. But its a great movie to watch when you really want to have fun and get into a movie.
A mush softer feel to this one than the first, maybe because of BB's presence.
If you like weird humour and action combined This Is a Movie for You!
Excellent film, from the acting to the direction, the casting to the depth of character in the script. Is not for the faint hearted though, very violent.
Excellent - not for those with a very weak stomach.
Hard to follow-assume there was a part1? Stupid story anyway.
Terrible disappointment compared to Vol.1
Don't Bother Crap Move over Rated!!!!!
Great movie Husband love it - not as good as the first one
Really enjoyed the second movie, don't miss this one if you have seen the first one.
Don't like violence being served up like a ice cream soda
Just as good as the Volume 1. QT is brilliant
I thought the first one was too gory for my liking, but I had to get this one to find out what happened. I liked this one better, much less gore in it and filled in all the missing background bits that left you wondering in the first one.
Action packed, good acting, good story line
Not as innovative as the first but still leaves an impression and mandatory viewing if you loved Kill Bill 1.
Something directors need to put some thought into is character credibility - is this that hard? It ruins a film when supposedly highly-trained intelligent capable characters behave consistently to the contrary. Sadly, this was a fair way off Tarantino's usual standard.
Exciting, interesting film, which I enjoyed very much. However, it soon became obvious I should have watched Kill Bill 1 first and I am waiting eagerly to see it.
Not too bad. Did not see Vol 1 so a little mystifying.
Not for me. Disappointing cos we enjoyed Kill Bill 1 .
This is an excellent movie.
Didn't watch it myself, but my husband did and really enjoyed it, thought Darryl Hannah was good.
Interesting - a bit wierd - the actors and kung-fu make it worth while - nd it is good in that it is always nice to have a sequel - especially when it explains much of the first
Maybe I had to see the other ones, but what a waste of my time! I could only watch about an hour, not my type of film.
Not as action packed as the first and a little slower but definately worth watching.
Very different from Volume 1, but great.
Well worth watching if you saw the FIRST "Kill Bill" movie Lots of action, never as gory or as exciting as first movie.
Too much talking, slow, with some very unpleasant claustrophobic scenes - really nothing to recommend it.
Although not as action packed as Kill Bill 1, the story answers all unanswered questions left from the first installment. An enjoyable movie.
Not bad, something that you can just sit and watch without trying to concentrate too much on the plot!!
Weird movie. Not sure about it. Kept watching it.
Volume 1 is heaps better, but still a good sequel.
Perfect finish to KB1
Less violence; more thought and sentiment.
Depends whether you like watching movies with chapters!
If you liked the first one you'll love this one too. Maybe not as great as Vol 1 but still a great watch.
I had low expectations for this film as a friend told me it was no good at all, but it was pretty good. Not on a par with Pulp Fiction but I enjoyed it.
Differemt pace form the first movie but still just as good.
Less fight scene's than the first, but well worth the watch
Really enjoyed it, Tarantino puts together great action with a quirky plot.
What can I say - except don't miss this movie! Tarantino is clearly a genius... the greater character development really brought the two volumes together. Easily four stars!
Excellent although did not stick to the original story but otherwise an excellent.
Awesome. Vol 2 didn't let me down. Get it and enjoy...
For martial arts devotees this is a film not to be missed. In a good number of ways this sequel surpasses the original.
BORING not up to standards set by his previous films
Certainly not as much action/violence as the first, more of a character study. Still very enjoyable.
Sequel as good as the first one.
An improvement on part one but more hype than susbstance really, though Thurman did a good job.
If you're a Tarrantino fan, you will love the kitch gore of this little tale.
Tarantino Movies all have a definite style and I think you either love Tarantino movies or hate them. I love em. Still think Pulp Fiction is his best movie, but Kill Bill Rocks too. I've lost count of the number of times I have watched Pulp Fiction and I'm sure I'll be watching Kill Bill 1 and 2 alot more times too.
Make sure you watch Kill Bill first to set the scene.
More quieter, reflective sequal. Makes up for lack of action with the script alone. Absolute master piece. Tarantino is simply a genius.
Heaps of fun, trashy, stylish and fast paced. Almost as good as KB Volume 1!
Volume 1 was OK but Vol 2 is much, much better apart from the somwhat lame ending. On the whole I enjoyed both and even found the high level of violence somehow acceptable.
A must see following Kill Bill Vol 1. Lots of good acting this film is about the characters rather than the full on action of Vol 1. I think I would watch boiling water if it was directed by Tarentino.
I enjoyed this film more than Volume 1. The word "enjoy" is qualified by all the violence depicted, but it is all in context. I felt decidedly uncomfortable in the scene where Uma is buried alive.
The ending is good, and the music just fab. I went out and bought the soundtrack the next day, whereas I wasn't moved to buy the Volume 1 soundtrack. (I hardly ever buy soundtracks.)
Very different to the first. More like a regular movie, but good viewing nonetheless.
Excellent movie, even better than the first with much more character development, more intimate sequences and some really cool characters! There is still plenty of action too. I especially like seeing The Bride in training.
I was a little disappointed with this one. The first one was pretty good. This one is alot slower than the first but you get alot of the background surrounding the events of the first.
