A witty script using modern (teenager's language) enhance the storyline of this movie. Not an emotionally charged love story, no violence, just a humorous slice of life story that makes for pleasant viewing. A story about a teenage pregnancy and how it effects the potential mother and those close to her.

I just love this movie - and having sub-titles to get the full dialogue made it more enjoyable second-time around. (I can't understand 'American', as I'm partially deaf.) The way the scetchy-art effect merges into real, the music, the poignancy of the actors, the freshness of production, it is a class job.

This presented an interesting alternative storyline to the usual team pregnancy films. I found it refreshing and loved Juno's parents reactions to her announcing her pregnancy. My boyfriend on the otherhand couldn't get past the teen dialogue and walked out after fifeteen minutes (he did the same with twilight).

I liked the movie despite my best attempts not to. But it seems totally unrealistic. Few 16yo girls are that mature and realistic. Getting in Cars with Boys is far more "real life" portrayal of teenage pregnancy. Juno is the sugar coated christian version.

Quirky, interesting and funny. We sat and watched it and my youth aged kids were laughing at the funny situations and things said. If my kids were that 'cheeky' and outspoken I don't know that I would handle it as well as the Dad in the movie. What an ending too.

I don't think as highly of this movie as so many other's do, but that doesnt mean it's bad. Actually it's pretty good, the characters are real, and have real conversations making them believable and engaging. Has funny moments, sad moments and I especially enjoyed the scenes with Juno and her parents.

I liked this movie because it was quirky and unique. The big let down for me was the lack of chemistry between Juno and her boyfriend. How could a sassy super sophisticated girl like Juno be attracted to such a wimpy dull ugly guy completely void of any personality and emotion. Not believable enough! It let the whole movie down for me. If they ever make part two maybe they can substitute Michael Cera with a cardboard cut out and save some moolah!

This quirky, off-beat comedy is a winner. The ensemble cast is fabulous and the script is so clever it warrants close attention if you don't want to miss the great jokes. I loved the recurring visual gag of the running team and Michael Cera's performance as the dorkiest male romantic lead you will ever encounter. His bedroom is classic. Don't miss it.

I loved this film. Whimsical but serious at the same time, I liked that most of the characters were actually nice people just doing the best they could. Perhaps the only bit that didn't quite feel right was the young couple wanting to adopt - how on earth did they end up together in the first place? Girl who played Juno was a fabulous blend of child and young woman.

Everything about this movie was brilliant, to be honest I was expecting a typical teenage comedy movie and it was so the opposite. Juno is a fantasy. Certainly Juno herself is a total fantasy of a teenager. We all wanted to be like her or thought we were - witty, wordly in an unjaded way, insightful, just the best taste in music. No teenager is really like Juno. And no real teenager - or indeed that teenager's family - would react to her pregnancy as is seen here. This all sounds like I thought 'Juno' was empty headed and artificial. Look at my rating - four stars. This is a wonderfully made and intelligent movie. Yes, it is a fantasy. But a fantasy of how things should be. We need more movies like this, about how things should be and not all the time, so brutally how they are.

Why does everyone like this movie? I kept hearing how the young girl's such a confident, strong-willed girl, but I could barely make it through this movie because everyone's so dumb. If Juno was an intelligent girl, she'd have kept the baby herself because she'd have realised that the silly beat-up about teen mums is baseless -teen girls have been having and looking after kids for thousands of years, much more in the past than now, and it's just nature that gives teen girls the desire to have babies, not dysfunctional families. Just as teen boys are nuts about sex, teen girls are nuts about babies -but not Juno, she's completely indifferent and careless. Juno's family just got on my nerves. Juno comes and goes from the house whenever she pleases and they don't seem to care. They're happy for her to just give her baby away, rather like one would give a puppy away, and practically every bit of advice they give sounds like they have the IQ of a toilet bowl. Juno's boyfriend just stares blankly throughout the movie, unsure of how to respond to basically everything. This is probably the most ridiculous and erroneous portrayal of teen pregnancy I've seen in ages. It's just one big sad story about stupid people and the stupid things they do and say and the stupid consequences of them all. Juno, a smart, sassy young girl? Don't make me sick.

While I found the worldly confidence of the lead "teenage girl" a little hard to swallow, I still enjoyed the movie. A young school girl, apparently well in control of her life, falls pregnant and after initially considering abortion, decides to carry the pregnancy and adopt the baby. She develops a relationship with the adoptive parents-to-be but life is never simple. This is the lead actress from Hard Candy essentially playing a very similar character in a different setting.

Okay you probably heard by now it's good. Was resisting it due to the hysteria over it's pro-life message. That's not to say I have any stake in the debate, I just don't like having opinions shoved down my throat, and so far the pro-choices haven't put pictures of dead babies in my letter box. This film does not have an agenda; the cast are a pleasure to watch and the dialogue a pleasure to hear.

My 16 year old daughter recommended this movie and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Very funny with its one liners and wit. Must admit though, the one liners and wit were a bit too scripted to be from the mouths of teenagers. Teenagers just don't talk like that.... not in this country anyway. Their dialogue was far too adult to be plausible but it was a funny film and highly recommended.

This movie only works because Ellen Page is so well cast in the role of Juno. She looks and sounds the right age, even though what she says is way too sophisticated - but that's the joke of the whole story. How casting can go awry is seen in one of Juno's class mates who looks about 30. The story has a few surprises that keep it interesting.

This has a simple plot: 16-year old girl gets unexpectedly pregnant and, after dismissing the idea of an abortion, decides to give her baby up to adoption to a couple who advertise in a local paper. Frankly I found the whole thing a little unbelievalbe: the self assuredness of Juno, the complete and immediate acceptance and support by her parents are all a bit fairty tale like for me but in the end that didn't matter too much. The performances and the snappy dialogue make it worth watching. Ellen Page is great in the title role and the supporting cast, especially Alison Janney as her stepmother, is also very good. Overall it's an intelligent, funny, feel good movie which is rare and wonderful in this age where farting loudly equals movie humour.

Juno desperately wants to be offbeat and indie but ends up derivative and hopelessly unrealistic. Is any real-life teenager that witty and self-assured? I know I wasn't. The scriptwriter (an ex-stripper, apparently) tries way too hard and Ellen Page is such a capital-A actor that, for most of the movie, I just wanted to punch her in the fetus.

This is a wonderful movie with some great acting and an incredible script. Juno's attitude and behaviour was refreshing but the character will appeal more to her age group than others as her "smart mouth" and sarcasm doesn't always work coming from someone so young. This may have even cost it the Oscar for Best Picture. But overall it is difficult not to like Juno and I see a great future for Ellen Page. Fact is, the whole cast was absolutely stunning, especially Michael Cera and J.K. Simmons. You'll need the tissues for this one but I think it's worth seeing just for the ultrasound scene.

Rarely a movie comes along that is so likeable that we never want it to end. The characters are so real and likeable, that we just want to hang out with them. It doesn’t matter whether much is happening or not. Such a gem, is Juno. This movie is the best advertisement I have seen for honesty. Everything about it is honest and true, even the soundtrack of quirky little sing-along numbers. Ellen Page as Juno is flawless. She is only 20 and surely must have a huge career ahead of her. Juno is genuinely funny, genuinely moving and flows as naturally as water. It is a joy to watch. I could have watched it again the moment the end credits started to role. In a season of bleak epics this stands out a ray of light.

I absolutely loved this movie. There were a lot of delightful and unexpected elements in this film that made it a truly enjoyable and memorable experience. To begin with, oh Ellen Page. What a kid. It's great that these kinds of roles have someone as smart, naturally sarcastic and wonderfully "smart ass" as she is to fill them. I actually saw a lot of myself in her character (other than the fact that she was with spawn... thankfully I avoided that high school cliche), and it was awesome to have a teenage girl portrayed in a way that didn't involve a cheerleading outfit, or some kind of horrible, outcast storyline. She was smart, funny, vulnerable and completely likable. Props have gotta go to Jason Bateman as well, I love the way he played his "trapped" husband. Plus, though at times the "cool" band references felt a little forced (maybe I'm even too elitist for even an indie film? hah!), I loved some of the nods to 90s culture. It's kind of odd that we're getting to a point in time now where referencing 90s is something that can be done. But I digress. The soundtrack is great, the cast is great, the script is great. The emotion, heart and humor behind every scene had me from beginning to end, and I found myself wanting to watch it again as soon as I left the darkened theatre.
