A sweeping two-part miniseries rolled into one epic historical account of America's pioneering West. A contentious set of battlelines are drawn across the land, as the state of Wyoming contemplates statehood, pitting rich cattle owners against newly arrived homesteaders in a struggle for peaceful co-existence. Three headstrong brothers are drawn into the rocky terrain, Cain (Tom Berenger), Harry (Luke Perry) and Dale (Adam Storke). When hired ruffian and intimidator Hunt Lawton (Burt Reynolds) swings his weight to force settlers out, using fear and violence to make his point, the three brothers decide to stay on and stand up for their beliefs. But as the countryside erupts into a full-scale war, they are forced to question their hearts and loyalties in order to fight to the bitter end. Also featuring Rachel Ward and Michelle Forbes, Johnson County War is a piercing and heartfelt study of a landscape and its people struggling for control.
