Rowan Atkinson returns to the role of the improbable secret agent who doesn’t know fear or danger in the comedy spy-thriller Johnny English Reborn. In his latest adventure, the most unlikely intelligence officer in Her Majesty’s Secret Service must stop a group of international assassins before they eliminate a world leader and cause global chaos. In the years since MI7’s top spy vanished off the grid, he has been honing his unique skills in a remote region of Asia. But when his agency superiors learn of an attempt against the Chinese premier’s life, they must hunt down the highly unorthodox agent. Now that the world needs him once again, Johnny English is back in action. With one shot at redemption, he must employ the latest in hi-tech gadgets to unravel a web of conspiracy that runs throughout the KGB, CIA and even MI7. With mere days until a heads of state conference, one man must use every trick in his playbook to protect us all. For Johnny English, disaster may be an option, but failure never is.

Got this for my husband as I am not a Rowan Atkins fan at all but have to say I actually had a few laughs throughout this film. Glad I did sit through it too.

Rowen Atkinson is up to his usual self in this movie. There were some parts that made me laugh a lot. The scenery was excellent and the spoofs were good for those that are familiar with James bond and other espionage movies. I recommend it for a laugh.

Very funny in parts. I liked Rowan in this role there was none or at least very little of the "over the top" cringyness of his Mr Bean character.

An excellent send up of James Bond with none of the cringiness of Mr Bean. This is the first film that's made me laugh out loud over and over. Rowan Atkinson at his best with some excellent cameo performances by some very familiar faces from British standup and comedy TV, including Blackadder of course.... Tim McEnnery!!

Couldn't bear to watch the end of this movie, it was embarrasingly bad. Such a shame as I actually like the first Johnny English movie. No BOFF? gotta have BOFF! I suppose the kids may like this, but very disappointing :( Was expecting more. I think even Rowan Atkinson will cringe at this one in time!

Mr. Bean meets James Bond, plus a bit of Pink Panther and the Kung Fu TV series of several decades ago. Thoroughly enjoyable and laughed all the way through.
Not to be taken seriously and will never win an Oscar but if you just want a good laugh for a couple of hours, this is it (even the kids will love it). Some nice touches as Johhny English returns from exile in Tibet - such as entering British Intelligence HQ - "Sponsored by Toshiba, for all your spying needs". Recommend

I am not sure why there are so many mediocre reviews. I expected silliness and that is what I got. OK it was all very predictable but hey that is what I thought it would be. A great movie if you do not want to think too hard and just want to sit back and enjoy. Have not seen the first one but have added it to my queue now

Was overwhelmingly disappointed. While there were two spots of genuine humor, for the most part it was boring and EXTREMELY predictable. If you can see it coming, it doesn't make you laugh. Would not recommend it to anyone.

Johnny English Reborn is indeed a great movie to watch but I must say it is not as funny and hilarius as the first Johnny English, which still is the 'funniest movie' I've ever watched and it made me laugh so much that I needed to swallow some garlic, a good source of natural antihistamines, to supress the allergic reaction that I had from laughing too much.

This is a must see for fans of action, comedy. Never followed Black Adder nor liked Mr. Bean. This had me laughing with tears. A beautiful cross between James Bond and Mr. Bean; rare entertainment indeed. Yes, I know I said I didn't like Mr. Bean; but when they mix it up with Bond ...
