This is the best movie I've seen in a while. I found it exciting and involving. Great in the 3D department. And a great storyline, good actors and good effects. Definatley one to watch.

OK. this was a flop in the US but was a hit in China and Russia. I don't know why it was a flop as it is pretty good Disney fair, actually better than their usually stuff. A lot of money was spent creating a visually stunning, plot driven telling of Edgar Rice Burroughs ...'A Princess of Mars'. This is science fiction at its best. Disney had the rights to the novel in the '80s and it was passed to Paramount and back to Disney after several directors were sidetracked on other projects. Possibly Disney just found it too hard to categorize and gave up on promoting it properly. To start with it maybe should have been called 'John Carter of Mars' as this starts the end credits. A much better title I think. Cgi is great, 3D is great, although processed 2D, Taylor Kitsch could have been more animated as the star, but he looks good. Worth seeing, more than once.
