MEDIUM LEVEL COARSE LANGUAGE, MEDIUM LEVEL VIOLENCE

Director: Craig Monahan
Actors: Hugo Weaving, Aaron Jeffery, Michael Caton, Tony Martin

Eddie Fleming is an ordinary human being, the sort of person you would pass in the street without a second glance. Early one morning, while he is asleep, his door is broken down. He is overpowered and terrorised, accused of name less crimes, stripped of every right, helpless. How does he react? What do we expect of him? What would you do? Detective Sergeant John Steele is just a little short of evidence. Tough and experienced, his reputation for 'getting results' makes his superiors nervous. Eddie is the only lead he has. As the clock ticks down it becomes apparent that there are other forces at work. We discover the truth about what is happening at the same moment Eddie does. We are as bewlidered and shocked as he is...or is it the truth? The Interview gets down to who or what you believe.

The reason I marked this down was because I could not bear to watch an innocent man be brutalised by people in power use him to suit their own ends. I have no idea how it turns out, I had to stop watching after about 15 minutes. The acting and plot are fine because it had such a powerful effect. But only if you can bear to watch emotional torture.

Unfortunately struggled with this one, found it all a bit too hard to believe and it was very slow and tedious. Ended up turning it off after 20 minutes in. Normally I'm a huge fan of Hugo Weaving but this dragged.

This is a brilliant film and very scary! Hugo Weaving is superb and the way he changes his demeanour is amazing, and he leaves you guessing right till the end as to what the truth is and it's frightening. What's really frightening is that you can see how easily it could happen.

This would have to be one of the best Australian movies I have seen. Hugo Weaving was great in this. It was an interesting idea for a movie as most of it is in an interrogation room

One of the best Australian movies I have seen. No frills or effects, just good performances, especially from Tony Martin and the ever reliable Hugo Weaving. Keeps you guessing right until the end.

An absolutely outstanding movie! What a surprise! I love it when you see a great movie like this and Hugo Weaving is brilliant as is Tony Martin. Such under rated actors. Really holds your attention. I understand it won quite a few AFI awards and deservedly so!!

Very interesting movie. How many innocent people have been through the same thing from "honest" police.

I FOUND THIS MOVIE RATHER BORING COMPARED TO OTHER AUSTRALIAN MOVIE THAT HAVE BEEN MADE OVER THE LAST TWO YEARS.

This is what you want a thriller to be - tense and a bit disturbing. For a film that takes place predominantly in one room there is an awful lot of action! Excellent.

Fine acting especially from Hugo Weaving. Once again from an Australian film a fine thriller without the gratuitous violence, which proves it is not needed to tell a good story.

Good story, competent cast and an amazing amount of tension created by little more than dialogue.

This was a fine movie with some great performances by Australian actors. The Kafka-esque story conjured up images of the early crime novel/movie, and, though very much in the vein of a stage-play, it was rivetting. Hugo Weaving deserves his current star status on the strength of his role in this one, and Tony Martin, aided by some creative camera work, gave another masterful performance. I would have like to have given this movie 3 and a half stars.

This is an excellent film, you never know who's playing who. This is not a film for everyone, it's definatly not an action film.. but it's a thrilling ... well, interview.

A fantastic film/play which engrosses you from the start. Uniquely Australian but on a par with the best in the world.
