My boys, 11 & 14, thought this was really good.
The greatest adventure film ever made ... for sheer spirit-lifting entertainment, you can't do much better than this.
Amazing movie! Best in the series!
Best line in the movie - "Shoot zem...shoot zem both!!!"
Incredible movie not to be missed.
This is an old movie now, but still good family viewing. The special effects are dated and the story predictable, yet the movie kept the whole family entertained. The main comment afterwards was, "That was a good bit of escapism". I think that pretty well sums it up.
very good thank you i have returned them today 10 out of 10
I was a little young to appreciate this series movies when they first came out but I highly recommend them as classics you have to watch!... if for no other reason than because Harrison Ford is GORGEOUS!
First viewing since I saw it with the children in a theatre. A good fun Saturday afternoon type film. Well filmed and then there's the music.
Good for a nostalgic re-run.
Enjoyed this just as much as I did the first time years ago.
I know many people will never forget the first time they saw Raiders. I know I never will. It was, believe it or not, at the drive-in. A mate and I had gone, not knowing or particularly caring much, about what movie was showing. It was just something we did on a Friday evening in the suburbs where I grew up. It was the year in which we graduated high-school. Raiders has the best opening sequence of any movie. I don’t think it can be surpassed. Within the first five minutes we were transfixed and in breathless rapture. All of our young male adventure fantasies had sprung to life, gloriously real and with kick-ass attitude. We were completely transported to another reality from which we would only reluctantly return, already longing for a sequel. I have often said that Raiders is my favourite film of all time. In fact I dither between it and Paris, Texas, depending on my mood. I have also, particularly after watching the trilogy again with my kids, begun to think that the Temple of Doom may in fact be even better. But, of course, Raiders will always be the original. Mad magazine’s parody of the film dubbed it “Raiders of a Lost Art”, a reference to the art of making real, and really good, adventure movies. An art revived and surpassed by this series.
Still a great movie. Good fun. We all watched it together - myself, my husband, 5, 6 and 7 year olds. Pretty good special effects for it's time.
Another classic in this series. Exciting to the end.
Great Action and he never loses his hat!!
A wonderful film - still the best in its genre. Witty, romantic and a wildly adventurous ride. I can't fault it.
classic movie. one of my top 100.
Plenty of action but muddled plot.
I'd almost forgotten what a wild roller coaster ride this movie was. And with Harrison Ford at his best, how could it fail?
The younger kids who missed this on its first go round would enjoy this as much as we oldies!
Another one of my favourites. Thanks
An old classic, could watch it again and again!
First movie of the trilogy, started off the Indiana saga more action in this movie as the following two had action and comedy. Worth a look. Good.
