Director: Adrian Lyne
Actors: Woody Harrelson, Robert Redford, Oliver Platt, Demi Moore, Seymour Cassel

Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson are Diana and David Murphy, a financially strapped couple who are betting on a quick trip to Las Vegas to deal them a lucky hand. But the odds are suddenly even more attractive when billionaire John Gage (Robert Redford) ups the ante - complete financial freedom.
The price? One night of passion with Diana. The payoff? A cool $1 million. But what seems to be a quick and simple solution to their money problems creates more friction than the couple bargained for as the high stakes of trust, love and attraction come into play as part of Gage's compelling proposal.
From acclaimed director Adrian Lyne (Fatal Attraction, Flashdance) comes a film that examines a riveting morality game - one in which each player has a strategy, as well as a set of rules to play by.

Well, they couldn't make up their minds; first she says she is not for sale, then they sign a contract for 1 million dollars, then she says "I do not want the money, I did it all for you", then she leaves him for Robert Redford's character, then he says "I do not want this money either", then a hippopotamus (sic!) gets the said 1 million dollars, and so on and on... Pretty annoying, isn't it? (Next time just send the money to me!...)

Very well done, and who better to lead star than Robert Redford. Redford plays the Billionaire, lonely, obsessed man well, in a James Bond Oceans Eleven style. Who wouldn't take the offer, especially when all is falling down. But did it have to destroy their marriage, that's my question?

Great storyline until after the proposal has been fulfilled then a bit slow and lackluster, worth watching.

Good storyline. Excellent to watch for the first part but after the proposal has been accepted and acted out, the storyline deteriorates possibly due to 'American sensibilities'.
