Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction: stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible-inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse; their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime.

Complex plot and pretty long in duration, you'll need your brain switched on for this one or you'll just give up. Come prepared and you'll thoroughly enjoy this unique and fascinating movie.

people read a lot into inception, and because of that they leave feeling disappointed. But it's just a great heist film, like heat or the town, and on bluray it's even def-y-er then the DVD release with great making of. It's surprising how they staged some of the stunts, a lot less CG they'd you'd think.

Good special effects and it tries to be clever- but it really left me cold and unconnected with the characters (somehow mercenaries doing industrial espionage are unappealing and hard to relate to). Also hard to follow the plot at times. My partner kept watching, even though I gave up about 30 minutes in (I really tried, but just couldn't get into it). It is often compared with Source Code - I asked my partner what he thought and he said Source Code was the better film out of these two..

Interesting movie, just be prepared to concentrate your way through it from start to finish. If you can do that, it's worth the journey. 3/5

A dream, within a dream, within a dream, within a dream... an interesting storyline exploring the basis of our reality and whether the thought of existence is sufficient to prove that we exist. Great performances from all cast and crew. Not a fan of Leonardo, but this is one of his best performances since What's Eating Gilbert Grape. Fantastic special effect, done "the old way" with CGI enhancements - George Lucas should pay attention to the bonus material - this is how films should be made.

When I watched it I was wondering how anyone could find this movie hard to follow to the point they need to watch again, to those people I say try watching Mulholland Drive because Inception is nothing on that...Anyhow I think it was a good movie but the wife absolutely killed it for me and I just wished she would go away! Apart from her ruining the movie for me, the visual effects were great and it is an interesting concept.

Easily the best movie I have seen for some time. Make sure you're wide awake when you watch it 'cause if you miss a second of the action, you'll be totally lost. Put this one on the top of your list.

This is a Sci-fi movie of the unconscious mind, exploring the concept of various 'levels' of unconsciousness when dreaming; extend that idea to having others share the same dream and you get a good idea how far-fetched the movie is; nevertheless, it's well-acted (DiCaprio, Watanabe,etc) and there are spectacular special effects.

After watching it twice i still had no idea what it was about , although my Daughter said it was great. must be to old LOL. Liked Matrix did not understand this at all.

Complex yet fun and imaginative storyline. Though not truly makes sense or logical but at least good enough for entertainment. The casts are good, especially Ellen Page and DiCaprio.

Actors were great, special effects superb, the script writer failed to join all the dots leaving us in the paddock with the kangaroos! All up a 'pizza' movie...(a little of everything and not a lot of anything...) Very disappointing

This was not LDC's best movie , way too much special effects , the storyline was far to fregmented to make any sense , and the conclusion too far to long to reach , give me Shutter Island/ Blood Diamond anyday.

I found this very complicated, but really did enjoy it. I agree that it takes much concentration and may need a second watching. I never used to like DiCaprio AT ALL ... but I've been very impressed with the last few lead roles I've seen for him. The story was very imaginative and extremely well written. A very different movie.

With such a far-fetched storyline, i was surprised that I liked this movie as much as I did. The story is imaginative and well written. Leonardo DiCaprio, although not one of my favourite actors, is believable in the lead role as a man who makes a living entering other peoples minds through dreams. To fully understand the plot, you'll need to pay close attention or watch it twice.
