Ichi the Killer (2001)

i was looking foreward to this title. i was actually slightly bias and was always going to give this a very good rating as it was from one of my most fav. directors. He became so due to his installments from 'masters of horror', which i loved and i expected no less here. I got what i was looking for (he is one sick puppy), and that's another thing i like about him

this a great movie almost true to the manga some thing missing but still good 5/5

Definately only for the strong of stomach. But if plenty of on-screen violence doesn't faze you this is definately worth watching.

i wasn't shocked, i was bored. i turned it off half way through, total zzZZzz fest. if you want a shock, just watch 2 girls 1 cup instead..

Watched Ichi the Killer last night - now that is one mental movie! My friend said it was violent but it's extreme! If you bear that in mind before watching I'd recommend it as it's highly entertaining with some very interesting characters that you would never want to meet yourself.

Enjoyable and rather good gangster thriller about a family of Japanese gangsters with a lone wolf after them. Not bad with great acting and heaps of impressive gore and torture but it falls apart a bit towards the end. Plus the storyline is very thin for this kind of story but its def worth a view and rental but it could had been so much better.

More inspired lunacy from the incomparable Takashi Miike.

Truly one the the most brutal movies ever, this is probably Miike's second best work (Audition being the first in my opinion)

I rarely get shocked in films, especially ones that make me laugh. This one did both. Gore galore in this black humour stomach- turning story.

Without a doubt one of the most violent movies ever made. Brutal and obscene with a disturbingly mysogynistic undercurrent. It's the story of how a timid sociopath can be manipulated into becoming into a killing machine, and of a sadomasochists endless quest for bigger and more painful thrills. This twisted film invites you to share in the sado's maniacal bloodlust. The scary thing is the movie is actually extremely enjoyable, and often downright hilarious. If you love Japanese cinema and can handle stomach-turning violence, you'll love this movie. If not, stay very far away!!!

this movie rules so much gore and a good story, probaly my fav japenes movie. i love the acting aswell, there is so much blood in it i loce it.

If you like lots of blood and gore then you'll like this film.
