Richard (Thomas Jane), Ron (Jeremy Piven), Tim (Christian McKay), and Jonathan (Rob Lowe) are friends from college who gather for a weekend each year to celebrate their friendship and catch up with each other. On the surface, they look like other men going through life - they have careers and families and responsibilities. But as with many people, there is more to them than meets the eye. As the weekend progresses, they go down the rabbit hole of excess. Fueled by sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll, their bacchanalian reunion drives them to an unexpected place where they are forced to confront themselves and the choices they've made.

Four old mates, self-pitying bores all, meet up for a weekend of drugs and whingeing. If there is a point to this movie, I didn't wait to find out.

A Boys With Baggage film that starts off badly and gets worse and worse. It is a relentlessly bleak look at four boys who failed at becoming men.

In an era of forgettable films, this movie dares to go full throttle, staying in your bloodstream for days. It takes a complex and dark look at the mid-life crisis, which for many is not just a clich?. It has a punk rock, take-no-prisoners attitude that clearly makes people uncomfortable. Before I saw it, I'd read reviews about "self-indulgent, whining white guys," but I think these people missed the point entirely. This movie is about paying respect to the dreams you had when you were young, however na?ve they may have been. It's about pain, honesty, friendship, and a certain degree of insanity. These characters aren't heroic, if anything expect the opposite. The four actors give raw, unhinged, moving performances. Is it for everybody? No. It's polarizing, in-your-face, and also one of the most daring and original films I've ever seen. If you're looking for a movie that makes you feel something, that makes you think about choices you (or the people around you) have made, this is a must-see.

Another movie where you have to continuously change the volume as the talking is that low compared to the supporting soundtrack you're reaching for the remote every 5 minutes. Drink and drugs and then the secret pact is revealed. Can't really recommend.

I Melt With You, dumb name for an even dumber movie! If you can get past 30 minutes of this rubbishe then you have done better than me! 44 year old men do not all act this way, the only way that this story would be plausible would be if all 4 of these characters were released from the Asylum on the same day!

Bit 'arty farty' for my liking - with various camera shots and angles obviously trying to illustrate something - but to me just came off annoying. Subject matter slightly confronting and was interesting for the aspect of what friends will do when they have a 'pact' - I watched it to the end but at the end I said "that was just weird' - will float some people's boats I am sure - but not mine.

We thought this may be the absolute worst movie we had ever seen. It started out badly and just didn't get any better. Couldn't even be bothered to watch the last segments. Don't recommend to anyone!

Definetly worth checking out, much better than I anticipated, probably one for the guys, but the ladies may learn something about the male psyche. Some good performances, Rob Lowe may surprise some with his acting chops and we all know what Jeremy Piven can do from his great turn in the excellent " Entourage " series.Worth watching but dont expect any happy endings.
