The Omega Man is a far superior film. While the production values are first rate the acting is completely unconvincing. For example the attempts at OCD are pathetic.
Typical American film: heavy gun violence, sweetly sentimental parts and religiosity towards the end. I personally preferred the New Zealand version of the same story, about the "last man on Earth"...
Would have loved this movie if the ending was different, ruined the whole thing for me.
This is a great movie! Great visual and sound effects. It may seem a bit slow in the starting but after that will keep you glued to your seat and you will want to know what happens next.
only just a movie and pretty dissappointing one with will smith.
this movie is based on the book i am legend, i am legend made two other movies, the last man on earth and the omega man. this is by far the best, whatever version you watch
I was thinking this was going to be a bit of a Ho Hum moving seeing as it was pushed to DVD so fast and was on constant sale from day one, but was pleasently suprised, good movie, and I can see why they re-did the ending, the ALT version didnt work for me at all.
really enjoyed it, great effects, just a strange ending, it just seems to stop.
Disappointed, not our type of movie ordered it without knowledge. Weak storyline, average actors, so much effort blocking off New York for such a basic science fiction film.
A blue ray must. Perfect picture and audio. This is a reference quality disc.
The story is an adaption of 2 previous versions, the first being The last man on earth staring the great Vincent Price and the second being The omega man staring the great Charlton Heston.
This movie is right up there with the other two.
If you like to be scared then this movie is for you.
Blue ray = 10/10
If you can't sleep, this will do the job nicely.
while the film is setting itself up its great, but falls down in the 3rd act. check out "the omega man" if you dig this kinda thing. basicaly the same movie done 30 years ago.
Pretty good Sci Fi yearn. Make sure you watch the Original Theatrical version, because the ending of the Alternative version is total crap. Surprising that Will Smith can successfully hold a movie all by his lonesone.
