HUMAN NATURE is the clever, colourful new comedy from Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Charlie Kaufman (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind) and celebrated French music video and commercial director Michel Gondry, making his feature debut. An hilarious inquiry into the primal urges that drive our species, HUMAN NATURE follows the interplay between an abnormally hirsute author, a repressed behaviourist, a young man raised as an ape and a breathy French research assistant. The film wittily spoofs sentimental representations of pristine nature while offering an unpredictable take on the Wild Man myth. HUMAN NATURE balances its narrative and visual ingenuity with genuine empathy for its comically tormented characters, featuring wonderful performances from Patricia Arquette (Stigmata), Tim Robbins (Shawshank Redemption), Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill) and Miranda Otto (Lord of the Rings).

Pretty terrible! They were trying to make a point about humans vs. animals but it got all off-track and tiresome. Couldn't wait for it to end really. Highlight? Seeing Patricia Arquette, who's now nothing but Alison Dubois to me, say the c-word!!! OMG! :p

Starts off wacky and I wuld encourage people to sit with it as it becomes more real and much more of a journey into human nature. Very thought provoking.

A barking dog of a movie. Truly tasteless, stupid, and not funny.

this is pretty bizarre and not to be taken at all seriously.. The excess body hair and Rhys ifans make this film..

wonderfully hilarious movie about the forces the drive us. a simple analysis would assume that it is a critique of civilized life and idealization of the natural, but it goes deeper and comes across as a story about the differences between men and women at the most fundamental basis.

A wacky and intriguing film, full of fresh ideas and lovely comedy, about hormones, really, and control. Good performances.

When you see Charlie Kauffman in the credits you know its a movie that is going to make you think but this title didnt plot twist as much as I had hoped but you if you are a fan of his work it is obvious he had some hand in where this film leads your mind.
