The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence actually employs a rather novel concept. The first flick ended with dirty Dr. Heiter dead and the unlucky middle-section of the 'pede (Ashlynn Yennie) surgically trapped between a rock and a hard place (and that's seriously understating her predicament). THC2 shatters the fourth wall and opens with creepy parking garage security guard Martin (Laurence R. Harvey) watching Six's picture on an endless loop. Suitably inspired, Martin begins to collect unwitting victims (including American actress Yennie, tricked into visiting him in London with the promise of an audition for Tarantino) and plots the creation of a multiple-person-monstrosity of his own. His ambition is even bolder than Dr. Heiter's, as he wants to craft a human centipede four times as large. Yep, that's 12 people long. Still, his 'operation style' leaves a lot to be desired. Unsterilised medical instruments are one thing, but his staple gun really raises some hygiene concerns.

Don't blame Martin for his nuttiness though! As we're regularly reminded, he was sexually abused by his father as a child, is being sexually abused by his therapist as an adult, has to fend off murderous attacks from his mother, and the horrific images from Tom Six's movie are warping his already sadistic mind. Full Sequence could be considered an interesting counterpart to Gus van Sant's Elephant, which also examined the many possible inspirations and inciting incidents for an extreme act of violence. But what The Human Centipede 2 lacks in the subtlety of van Sant's film, it makes up with scenes of genital mutilation.

The Human Centipede 2 is in black-and-white; I assume the sole reason is because blood looks cool when it oozes like pitch black oil. Maybe there's more to it. Maybe the way in which the so-called reality of Full Sequence is depicted in black-and-white as opposed to the colour of the "fictional" original is meant to comment on the way viewers accept cinematic horrors but abhor those same acts when committed in real life. Or not. The blood looks cool regardless.

Harvey is game and perfectly repugnant as Martin, while Yennie is a good sport (yet again) with her self-effacing turn. And Six should be applauded somewhat for the way in which he manages to one-up himself over and over again. Considering the heights of grotesqueness reached early on in the flick, how the stakes are continually raised comes as a pleasant (or should that be totally unpleasant?) surprise. Whereas the original Human Centipede shied away from blood and surgical operations, THC2 revels in it, finding more and more horrible ways to torture its 12-part eyesore. That being said, the film is never more repulsive than when it’s extolling the virtues of the picture that has come before it. Even I, a fan of the first flick, found it hard to believe anyone would be as outrageously compelled or repelled by it as the characters in this film are.

I maintain The Human Centipede is an audience-baiting satire along the lines of Michael Haneke's Funny Games, making us question what it is we want out of film and what we want out of art; a Marina Abramovic-esque experiment that invites the audience to impart meaning on its gore-tastic series of tableaus. The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence is none of those things, but it's mighty gruesome, and will no doubt silence the critics who had hoped the last one would be grislier. It's less interesting as a result, but the visceral experience is undeniable.

3/5

Rather sick and twisted, but I gotta say, it was quite a riot of a movie. If you have a weak stomach do not watch this, especially one part in particular. Didnt really turn my stomach. Just had a bit of laugh watching it while eating my pizza...

I am not real sure how to rate this movie it did have more in it to than the first one which was not as I thought it would be. It really is really sick but I did have to watch it to see how it ended. How people think of making movies like this is beyond me but then again some of us watch them. I would not watch it again though.

This movie is messed up on so many levels, just horrible and really unnerving! Martin is a sick twisted individual and gets "inspired" by the mad doctor who did the first centipede experiment. The use of black and white film, the off kilter music and flashbacks to the previous movie make it even creepier! I can't say I enjoyed this movie but it served its purpose!

After managing to watch this movie it's safe to say I'm REALLY glad it was in B&W. I think I may have thrown up had it been in colour.

This is the most horrible movie ever made. The thought that someone was able to come up with the script for this and is living in our society is extremely scary. The firs movie was a once off watch and talk about movie. this one is just plain wrong.

An almost no storyline horror. A fair amount of squirm-in-your-seat gore. It got ridiculous very quickly and then not scary anymore. If you're wanting to be scared, don't get this. If you want plenty of gore or special effects when it comes to gore, this may be for you.

Not scary. Not funny. Just sick -- and not in a good way. I had expected something unique and slightly twisted, as per the first movie -- instead, this is just poorly acted garbage. Uwe Bolle would be proud.

Whoa! Very 'spun out' movie. It's black and white which I guess is a good thing, otherwise there would be a hell of a lot of red (maybe that's why they chose black & white). Quite graffic and all I can say is that, I won't be watching it again and to anyone else that watches is .. be prepared.

This was a waste of film and peoples time. The producers should have stopped at the first movie. A couple of scenes really didn't need to be added they could have alluded to what was happening. It really rates a 1/4 of a star.

I cannot believe how any actor would/could tell people they "starred" in such a degrading and disgusting movie. I am a horror/gore fan but this was just totally revolting. Thank God it was in black and white!!!

The first Human Centipede was tame in terms of outright gore, and relied more on suggestion. In this second part, the director has amped up the gore and turned it into bigger freak show than ever. Obviously, this isn't a movie for the faint of heart. Nor is it the type of horror movie to watch for frights. Simply, this is torture porn. Other than the gore, it also differs from the original in that it's shot in black and white, which looks pretty cool with the rainy setting in England. The main character is a crazy English guy with an intellectual disability and a fetish for the first Human Centipede movie (an amusing metaphor of those of us who watch this crap). The whole thing is so sick and over the top that it plays like a grotesque comedy, existing only to try to shock and gross out the viewer as much as possible. Are people insane for making it, or are we insane for watching it? Both, no doubt, but I'm glad it came from their imaginations and not mine!

This move is sick and twisted but that's why we watch (or want to watch it), yeah? Having done my research and reading the plot and other reviews, I thought I knew what I was in for but I was very wrong. This in it's own right is a master piece. It is not everyone's cup of tea and is quite gruesome in parts but that is what the whole Centipede thing is about. It has the dark feel that bad boy bubbly did along with the initial shock factor you got when you first checked out the Saw movie but on a much different level. It is worth a watch. Hey, even if you didn't enjoy/appreciate/tolerate it, at least you can say you saw it.

This movie is dead set twisted and sickening, if it doesnt hit some kind if nerve in your body your just as twisted as the mastermind behinde it. Brilliant acting by lawrence not so by the rest of the cast. If you are into psychotic thillers youd enjoy this. I didnt, but in all fairness, its not supposes to be a pretty fairy movie so im rating it for what it is, Twisted and perverted gorey and savage.

I wasnt a fan of the 1st despite Dieter's decent performance but Tom Six has upped the Anti by not only making the leading villian more appealing and better looking but also listioned to the fans of the 1st as well. A tubby and short man called Martin who is a fan of the 1st film and of whom is a victim of past and ongoing abuse decides he wants to outclass his idol with a larger centipede. Brilliant acting by all esp. Laurance R Harvey which this was his film debut and he does an amazing job and def he is promising talent for future films. Hopefully a heroic role. The direction is solid and filmed beautifully in black and white ala Dead man or Schinders List. But be forwarned as this is a VERY violent film and has a poop feeding at the end that needs to be seen to be belived. Since this was Originaly banned they had to trim 20-30 seconds but what they cut esp for any men watching the film will make the film easier to watch as it was fairly brutal and pointlessly cruel esp. towards any fans of the leading actor who would be upset seeing it. The ending is filmed so the viewer can decide what happened. A brillaint film and def worth renting for fans of the 1st as Tom Six really has come up roses on this little gem.

had to see this coming, as expected. I don't believe it's as good as the first, the first spent more time on 'technicality' rather than blood & gore as in this one. Still, as i say, was to be expected. End result, probably could of gone longer to add 'more content', (enough blood & guts), but once again, expected! worth the watch if you enjoyed the first instalment

Originally banned in Australia, but now passed with 30 seconds cut from it. This film is so disturbing I can't even tell someone a one sentence plot outline without them picturing something gruesome. You WILL risk recurring nightmares if you watch this.

OK, Just warning you now. For those who have seen the first film and thought it was morally wrong in every way possible. Well this doesn't get any better, in fact its about 10 times as worse. The violence is worse, the story is even more sick and twisted. I would suggest anyone which a new born baby NOT watch this film.
