A little slow moving in places. Owen Wilson's character was a mildly irritating - specially with a closet of jumpers!
Thought Reese was a little under challenged.
Good Sunday afternoon-killer; or date movie though.

Quite possibly the worst film I've ever seen. Good actors here but the characters they play, not so good. The film has no heart. The main character played by Reece has no personality! Parts of the film are just plain weird. Don't bother!

This movie is soooooo boring. It is extremely slow moving with nothing but actors talking about nothing throughout. I struggled through the first hour of this movie (including fast forwarding) but found the same things were being talked about. Follow the advise of others who have posted and DO NOT hire this movie.

Thought it was very slow and boring. Knew it would be predictable (like most romantic comedies) but was just boring....hubby almost fell asleep through it (and he will always give a new rom-com at least one watch). I'm not going to say i wouldnt recommend coz people have to make their own opinions but be prepared for a long and boring watch

This is a romantic comedy. Great acting and a different storyline than most. The question of "How do you know" gets asked a few times throughout the movie, mainly referring too love but also applies to a few other scenes in the movie.

if you are a fan of jack or reece you will be disappointed by this predictable non event thats billed as romantic /comedy it is neither.
if you want something bland and safe for the kiddies to watch or to guzzle a litre of ice cream while you zone out perfect.

i liked this movie even if it is a chick flick,i like reece witherspoon and thought she played her role fairly well,plus having jack nicholson in it you know the movie is going to be good,paul rudd funny actor and owen wilson well he is a try hard actor at the best of times but was ok in this.those who say it was boring really need to watch it without ant chit chat or disturbances then you will see it as i and others did.just saying

I could not bare this movie. I usually sit through all of a film, even if I am not enjoying it, but I could not get into this at all. It was actually irritating me. The script was overdone and the story-line very slow. Can't comment on the end because I turned it off half way. Don't bother.

Great cast but disappointing outcome. If it was meant to be a rom-com, there was little romance and next to no comedy! Didn't see any sparks between any of the characters and the story really dragged along. Owen Wilson was the only highlight for me.

I was really hoping all the other reviews would be wrong, but this movie just lacked in so many ways. I love Owen Wilson and whilst his character was funny, the rest of the movie was just boring and nonsensical. Not the biggest waste of time, but definitely disappointing given the cast.

Nothing wrong with it but nothing right about it either, just a very uninteresting, disjointed story about a love triangle with a confusing illegal/shady business practice by the Father (Jack Nicholson) of one of the young men involved thrown in for no apparent reason? ? ? ? A lot about nothing! ! !
