When their new guardians forbid 16-year-old Andi (Emma Roberts) and her younger brother, Bruce (Jake T Austin) to have a pet, Andi has to use her quick wit to help find a new home for their dog, Friday. The resourceful kids stumble upon an abandoned hotel and using Bruce's talents as a mechanical genius, transform it into a magical dog paradise for Friday and eventually for all Friday's friends. When barking dogs make the neighbours suspicious, Andi and Bruce use every invention they have to avoid anyone discovering "who let the dogs in."

I really enjoyed seeing so many types of cute dogs so clever. Great training and so good as a family movie. Wish there were more like this. A must see.

Very much a kid's movie, nothing in this for anyone over 8. I thought the over-the-top Disney music was really domineering and just detracted from the film. Not sure why Don Cheadle was in this, wasn't Jim Belushi available?

Great movie for kids and adults who want an easy watch. Unfortunately the copy was damaged and had a lot of skipping and freezing during the film.

Well this will definitely NOT be up for any Oscars, but it is good entertainment for the kids. I believe they watched it four times in two days . . . and EVERY DVD extra. Unlike some kid's movies, this one is at least watchable for the grown-ups!

You have to be absolutely nuts about dogs to love this movie. It's definately one for the kids. Great to see "heavy hitter" Don Cheadle in this one though I must admit he looks embarrased at times.

Loved it, a heart felt movie. A movie the whole family will enjoy and being a dog lover wont hurt. Other than the the dogs, the trainers were the standouts in this movie. The trainers did a stand up job in training the dogs, and working with so many dogs would have been hard.

Brilliant, feel good movie. Not just a kids flick but a must see for all dog lovers. My wife and I watched it twice in the same day - yes, we're huge dog lovers. A real tale of the underdogs (pardon the pun) becoming the victorious. Great acting from the dogs and cast - Lisa Kudrow and Kevin Dillon are hilarious.

Emma Roberts is a delight to watch as she expands her career. Hotel for Dogs suits younger children as well as older teens. Easy to watch, the story line flows nicely. Happy ending so no tears for the younger ones. fun family night in!
