High Level Violence, Blood and Gore and High Level Coarse Language

Director: Eli Roth
Actors: Lauren German, Bijou Phillips, Heather Matarazzo, Roger Bart, Richard Burgi

Three female college students take a detour from their partying, enticed by a beautiful European woman who promises seclusion, safety and maybe even romance. What they get is a living hell where they are sold to the highest bidder who's fondest wish is to kill them slowly. Hostel 2 also follows 2 American men who, on the flip side of the coin, are willing to pay to join an exclusive club where a life will end at their hands any way they like. It's a story of human monsters and the almighty dollar as only Eli Roth could tell it.

wish I was able to give a review - but was unable to watch the end so I guess the best part was still to come - disc kept getting stuck in the same places - very frustrating ......

Let me get this straight: if you watch this movie thinking that you will get the same thrill ride as the first film, you will be disappointed. However, as a standalone horror film it does its job of giving viewers nightmares well. Some parts were so predictable and light-hearted that it almost felt like a comedy. However, all of that were gone when the actual violence came in. The Lorna scene was completely twisted - I really think they overdid that one! The ending was ridiculous, but at least the bad guys got what they deserved. Look forward to seeing part 3!

Unnecessary violence. Lost the plot a from the first one and mainly focused on horrible blood and gore.

For the subject matter I thought it was quite kitsch, I didn't mind it at all. Not as good as the first one but still worth a look if you're into blood, gore and constant screaming...

This was one example of how not to do a sequel. I didn't find this movie scary at all, it should have been marketed as a comedy.

The first movie was 'redeemed' despite its nastiness by the way it drew you into its nightmare world where obnoxious and naive American male backpackers have a reality check. The latest, while not quite as violent, comes across as silly and predictable. Maybe a case of too much of a bad thing.

Couldn't stand it - so many terrible things are done to people. Had to walk away when the "civilized" cannibal was ripping off parts from a tied down young man to eat with a knife & fork. Who enjoys this kinda stuff? I think you have to be sick in the head.

A somewhat predictable movie with the usual plot theme of young men/women getting killed in gruesome ways. There was however an interesting turn at the end which is not altogether expected at least not in the form it takes. Recommended for someone who likes gore but not so much if you are looking to get scared as it is much more shocking than it is scary. Over all didn't find it that memorable.

After watching the first Hostel II, we expected much the same as the first movie - and we were not disappointed. This movie was just as good if not better than the original. Lots of great special effects.

It would seem Eli Roth so enjoyed the first Hostel he decided to make it again. Nothing new here, watch one or the other depending on wether you enjoy seeing girls killed or guys.

Im sure I have seen this movie before..... oh yeah it was called Hostel number 1, when you make a sequel why make an exact copy of the first movie?????? Average.

didn't know what to make of it it was ok, very voilent, poor girls didn't have any idea what they were getting themselves in for. As for the guy at the end, he deserved it.

Brilliant, one of those great second ones, not for those who don't enjoy some blood and guts, very violent but the girls get some serious payback. Builds up nicely to the monster ending. lf you liked the first one, texas CM, Saw, Hills have eyes, this will not disappoint. The three girls and vera played wonderful roles as did the two dudes. Eli is the cabin fever writer and director so don't turn off the lights. The best extra features going around.

I am a massive fan of Hostel and was very excited about seeing this sequal but was also worried as it would not equal the 1st one. My fears didnt pan out as I totaly loved this film. The film opens with Elite Hunting tieing up a loose end and then it jumps to Rome where 3 ladies are lured to the excact Hostel by a mysterious lady who resures them on the train to Prague. They are then hunted by EH and the party begins. Brillant acting by all and sharp direction not only gives the viewer 3 lovely ladies but also opens up Elite Hunting and shows how they work as part one only hinted at it and also brings in 2 businessmen whom have recently joined the club which made for an interesting take on the gene. The Bubblegum gang is back and is placed in a more active role. The special effects are totaly wild and very gory. It was good to see Roth take the blood and gore further and displays a good gory show. The scene with one of the girls, a rich female client and a bathtub is def one sweet highlight. Plus the film has an ingenious twist at the end most wont see coming. Def recomened to those who love horror films esp. gory ones.

Wasnt as good as the first. In fact, it was quite stupid. I hated the twist at the end. Watch it if you like blood but not if you want a decent storyline.

Repugnant and revolting, gratuitous violence to the point I could not completely watch even the first scene in the "torture chamber". I'm not averse to "good" horror movies but this is just sick. There's no story line after the first 30 mins and it is just an exploitative exercise in rolling out the next victim. How Hollywood can greenlight this utter trash is beyond me.
