I gave this movie 3 stars because it is a clever written comedy.
Just too crude to be likeable
Very funny movie, with an original plot. Loved it! Great acting too!
I think many of us have been in a work place situation that is ruled by some corporate psychopath! It was very gratifying to watch this movie unfold and to see if the monstrous boss would get his come-uppance! I enjoyed it.
Couldn't watch the whole thing, very frustrating watching the first half hour......
Puerile stuff trying to be humurous despite some well known actors
Absolute rubbish. Don't bother. A few slightly funny moments. You keep expecting it to get better but it just gets worse.
Really quite funny. Great cast who had a lot of fun putting this together - you can tell. Little gem role by Colin Farrell sporting a gross comb over, surprise visits by Donald, Bob and Jamie.
Incredible inappropriate and wickedly funny! Laughed from start to finish but wouldn't recommend it to my Grandma
A bit surprised by the number of 1 and 2 star reviews for this movie. I'm not usually a fan of American comedies but I really enjoyed this and had a couple of genuine LOL moments - maybe it got me in a moment of weakness.
good light funny movie. ok for a light night in :)
Good for a laugh; we thought it was funny and enjoyed watching it. If I may say, it is a 'dick flick' - a chick flick for the boys.
I thought it was so funny that I watched it a second time and laughed even more!
Can not believe Kevin Spacey agreed to be in this movie. It was a great idea for a movie - but the acting is not funny at all. Turned it off half way through - yawn.
This was soo stupidly bad that it was really funny! I enjoyed it.
Didnt enjoy this one at all. Ended up forwarding most of it, disappointing.
Awful try at a Hangover style movie - moved the bar ever higher with crude and unrelenting disgusting "jokes". A waste of acting talent with the likes of Spacey in this. I wouldn't bother watching it as it fails badly in plot, character development (all heros I wanted to strangle as they were so annoying).
I didnt like this one very much. I found it hard to follow and I didnt think the plot was very good.
The key word here is, 'horrible'.
A funny movie, enjoyed alot
A bit crude at times but the funniest movie I have seen for ages... I could easily watch it a second time
Not overly predictable. Was really disgusted by Jennifer Anistons character...
Absolutely rubbish!!! Typical American unfunny humour
Don’t waste your money
Started well. Went steadily downhill. Ended by the actors trying to emulate the 3 Stooges. The didn't succeed.
Formula, formula, formula. To me this felt like a heavily-watered down Hang-over. BTW what do you call a Chik Flik for the Boys? If there isn't a term it's about time we came up with it.
Anyway If Hollywood is going to do a remake, there should be some board over there who stipulate that it must be BETTER than the original ... or at least funnier. Yes Bateman was cute and earned the empathy of the audience, but just because Anniston plays a different role to her stock-standard one, that does not mean she can act. Yes girls, the male interest next to you will probably love this, as it's blatently obvious that it was exclusively written by and aimed at those Y chromosomes. Most girls won't enjoy the unrealistic female stereotypes. But yes I did laugh enough to not regret the two hours invested.
Not as predictable as you would think and lots of fun..
Iloved Horrible Bosses, it was hilarious. Jen Aniston was fabulously crude. Didnt even realise it was Colin Farrell as one of the bosses sons. the actor that played the role of Dale also was great. An all round rude crude and funny movie.
In a word... hilarious! If you are looking for a good laugh - this is movie for you.
Enjoyable! A bit silly, but fun!
Good comedy and we got quite a few good laughs from this one. Was surprised to see so many actors in it. Jennifer Aniston is really good, as it Kevin Spacey and Collin Farrell. Definately worth watching.
I confess to being extremely disappointed. The plot had such potential, the previous reviews offered such hope, what a shame it was such a woeful movie. So predicable with such lousy acting.
This is a really stupid movie!!!! I really like Jason Bateman and think it is a pity that he made this dreadful movie.
Was ok, a bit slapstick gutter humour which I wasn't expecting. Nice to see Jennifer Aniston in a different role than what she normally plays.
Loved this movie, funny funny and just what I'm into!
As I started to watch this film I thought it would be one of those frustrating 'the small guy doesn't get what he wants' type movie but it wasn't - it was crazy, silly...fun!!! Worth a look.
There are two things about this movie:
First its not bad but it is not a big screen movie it is a very good night in.
When watching this its hard for me not to compare this with the Hangover (parts Un and Deux). Both are part of the new American Teenager at 38 genre that is floating around but this has some greater writing, better humour and far more interesting characters (including the sat nav).
On a lower budget I'm sure though Kevin Spacey's & Jennifer Aniston's (partially) undeserved paypacket(s) probably kicked it higher this film made me LAUGH (out loud).
Chuck the series
Secondly as I watch it the quirky little guy in the film (Charlie Day) kept reminding me of the Morgan Grimes character in the Chuck series as he was earlier on but didn't remain in later episodes - could have been almost interchangeable. I do not want to take away from Charlie Day he was good and funny and his character would have been a perfect Morgan.
Conclusion
I loved the horrible bosses they were horrible and the movie was funny.
Amusing, but your typical "guys get into a complicated funny murder plot" movie, complete with a good dose of sex. Entertaining, but not a great movie.
This movie is your typical 21st century 'Guy Pal' type comedy. Take one everyday guy, add a reasonably good looking guy, don't forget your loose canon guy - stick into the mix some racial minorities we can stereotype, plenty of drug references, liberal use of the F word (We've got our MA rating and we're gonna use it!!) and most importantly lets decorate these scenes with either neurotic or simpering females who spend their time ruining a guys life or... ruining a guys life. Because in these movies: women can't win. They are either crazy or painfully submissive; and both will spend their screen time bothering men with neediness, nymphomania or marriage fixation.
How many more of these can the studios batter out?
Avoid.
I'd heard this wasn't good but I really enjoyed it......give it 30 mins at least to get into the story. It's very funny!
One of the funniest movies I've seen for a long time. I just had to get over Jennifer Aniston playing such an awful, yet very funny character. Colin Farrell was almost unrecognisable in the dreadful get-ups and over the top makeunder. Very funny.
Quite funny and warped and well done
Agree - horrible bosses equals horrible movie. Just didn't do it for me at all.
This movie had great promise, but was a let-down. Some funny moments, but the only good parts was watching Kevin Spacey and Jennifer Anniston
Horrible Bosses....Horrible Movie......... How low will American movies go. What are they trying to prove with the language . We lasted 30 minutes and out it went
I thought this movie would be funnier, with more twists and turns of getting into trouble. I felt this movie was a bit of a let down and ordinary, a little boring.
Comedic take on what some of us what like to do to our bosses. A bit over the top in parts but ok watch for a lazy afternoon/night...
When I watched this film I was expected a great piece of hilarity. What I discovered was that all the highlights had been shown in the trailer we'd seen at the movies and other places. It was a stupid film, with dumb form of humour, that defies reality and actually undermines the elements of the film that held promise.
This was the most vulgar, disgusting, sexest, repulsive movie i have ever seen - and we only watched it for 10 minutes!!!!! I heard it was a massive let down - i wish i'd listened!!!! - if i could give no star i would
Bloody crack up... good laugh....
The worst! Couldn't even finish it. Not funny or clever.
Biggest dissapointment in 2011, don't be tempted to add this to your queue. Complete and utter waste of time.
Worth watching for Jennifer Aniston and seeing psycho boss Kevin Spacey getting screwed over!
Petered out by the end after a promising start. Not enough Jennifer Aniston even though you get more of her than you've ever seen before - she was the best thing about this film!
it was not to bad you some times really want to follow in their foot steps
A very funny and entertaining movie from the people that bought you 'The hangover". Jennifer Anniston steals all her scenes, she was brilliant! Worth watching
This is a complete waste of time.
For a comedy this really isn't funny.
If I could give this no stars I would! I can't remember the last time I didn't finish watching a movie (and I watch a lot of movies) but an hour into this flick, not only did I have no desire to see the ending, but I had an overwhelming urge to just stop watching rubbish! A huge disappointment since I love all the actors involved and was hoping for a good evening in. My recommendation... don't waste your time on this. I wish I hadn't!
An enjoyable, but uneven, comedy that is ultimately carried by the always-reliable Jason Bateman. The concept is a good, if not particularly original one, and there are laughs to be had, although they are becoming a little scarce by the film's final quarter. Jennifer Aniston and Colin Farrell are memorable playing almost cartoonishly against type, while Kevin Spacey is suitably deranged. Some tighter writing and a slightly more subtle approach (I know it's a comedy, but Bateman's character is the only one that seems to even remotely resemble a realistic human being) might have elevated this to something out of the ordinary.
Pretty good, a little flat in some ares, loved Jens character!!!!!!
Very funny premise. Fantastic cast, great ensemble. I am not a fan of Friends or Jennifer Aniston. But, boy was she smokin in this flick. Sexy and intelligent, yowsa, yowsa, yowsa! I am a big fan of Jason Bateman. He is brilliant in this movie. Colin FARRELL, yes, I am a fan, is great in this, if you can recognise him! A great idea for a movie, all the bosses in the movie I have worked under, well not Jennifer Aniston, unfortunately, sexual harassment, bring it on Jen!!! Do yourself a favour and rent it.
Hilarious !! Jennifer Anniston is filth, so funny though and a good change from her usual characters.
Very funny in many places
Nowhere near as good as I thought. The second half improved a little.
Waste of time mostly, but funny
Entertaining, without being great!
Awful , Jennifer Aniston was definitely slumming it when she made this movie. Sexist ,vulgar rubbish aimed at teenage boys.
I agree that this doesn't live up to the hype around it, but I still had a massive laugh at some of the scenes in this film. It is silly, it is a bit daft, but, leave your thinking side of your mind at the door and this is definitely worth a watch, I enjoyed it.
Should have gone with my instinct and never watched this...awful movie!!!!! Didn't even bother seeing it through to the end!!!
Very funny movie and highly entertaining.
Lots of famous faces and lots of hilarious lines
A bit laboured. Could have finished 1/2 an hour earlier at least. Foul language for the sake of foul language. Not bad, but not as good as the hype behind the movie.
Quite a hilarious twist to the movie ... characters well chosen for the roles, Jennifer Aniston was brilliant in a role she is not typecasted.
I was disappointed. Didn't finish watching it. 14 year old humour aimed at 30 something guys, so if that's your thing go for it.
If you don't mind the language, and believe me its really full on here, then just sit back & enjoy a great movie. Hugely funny in parts with lots of "laugh out loud" scenes. Shame Jamie Foxx wasn't in it more, he was great. More a 3.5
Great movie, laughed all the way through it.
This movie was so funny, I would watch it again.
Pretty funny, but not very original. Watch it once, then forget about it. (Except for Jamie Foxx's character who is hilariously named).
loved it!! it was really funny! very enjoyable viewing!
Hysterically funny, loved it. Couldnt stop laughing the whole way through.
rude, crude & totally funny
Crap! Wast of 100 min (Great actors though)
This could have been a great movie but it is not. Many good ideas spoilt by supermarket scriptwriting.
Very disappointed with this film. It hardly got a laugh from anyone!
my husband loved it....so i would say this one is for the boys...i watched the whole thing but was ready to walk out soon after. Reminded me of something about Mary.....girls don't bother.unless you like gutter humour...better movies to watch.
Not as funny as I was led to believe.
Not as good as I was expecting. Some horrible boss cliches a bit over the top.
It was ok. maybe a bit disappointing.
SO FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loved this movie...... get it....
I really enjoyed this movie. It has a great, sassy storyline and lots of laughs! Its great to see Jennifer Aniston playing a part that isnt girly! This movie is totally worth a look!
So Cringe worthy, Trailer was much more entertaining than the film. If Aniston's Character wasn't in it, I wouldn't have given it one star.
Jason Batemans worst role to date.
Had potential, so we sat through it, but it was very, v e r y s. l. o. w...
Some parts were funny great actors but story a bit silly.
An incredibly lame comedy. There are some funny scenes and funny lines, but for the most part it's just silly.
Extremely funny! Loved it!
Enjoyable and funny. The bosses were hilarious. Worth seeing for a bit of a laugh.
Very very funny! Jennifer Aniston plays a surprising role. Will watch again and recomend to all!
funny but alot of swearing not what you expext from Justin Bateman
Slow and boring. Just few funny bits
Three friends conspire to murder their awful bosses when they realize they are standing in the way of their happiness. Hilarious!!! Jen, Kevin and Colin are a riot. Loved it
Okay, only a few funny bits, could have turned it off.
Felt slightly let down by this - Wasnt anywhere near as good as I was expecting.
