It’s a kind of action and horror and pretty good at both. As a zombie movie though it has some dusk to dawn about it and some Romero social commentary. Maybe about man's ability to feed on each other or something, with cops out to murder murderers, vague references to the Vietnam war and atrocities in Africa, or maybe some French social commentary, but it doesn't work. It’s just a good action/horror with mostly unlikeable characters.

Dodgy dialogues, terribly acted, over the top... "wanna be" 28 days but so badly directed and edited. Made in France! There're better French horror movies out there, try Frontiers, High Tension or the very scary Inside or disturbing Martyr.

Once again Zombies are taking over, this time it is Paris. Better than average zombie flick that offers no explanation as to why they have suddenly appeared. Personal enmities between cops and crooks are temporarily put on hold to fight the brain dead.

I love a good zombie movie. Unfortunately, this was not it. It was just weird and a bit disturbing. Could have been half way decent if the characters were a bit more likeable, but they weren't. The only character I was sorry to see die was the cop who sacrifices himself to save the others. He shouldn't have bothered.

A strange mis-mashed genre movie with poor characterisation and trite plot. The unexplained nonhuman 'horde' seemed merely to provide a shared enemy for the cops-and-villains, and an excuse for intense moments of violence that would have been unpalatable as acts against humanity.

One of the better Zombie films out there even if it owes a lot to From Dusk 'Till Dawn in that it starts out as straight crime action and could morph unezpectedly to outright horror. I only say could morph because the marketers of these films miss the joke completely and fill the cover and posters with Zombies and Vampires thus giving away the punchline before the joke gets told. This works better as the kills are more full on and the morality even more ambiguous.

Awesome Zombie movie from France proves like with Frontiers and Assasin that the French can really shine when they put the effort in. It starts with a payback for a dead family member agaisnt those resposible and before they know it they are trapped in the building by hungry zombies and must fight their way out. Brillant acting by all but a special mention to the character Rene really shines as an elderly watchman who has plenty of tricks up his sleave and even outclasses his stand alone twin in leather for dealing out brutality even if its aimed at the undead. The direction starts the film slowly then it becomes a revenge story ala Boondock saints and then plot twists again to become like 28 days later. The action never lets up despite a carefully built start setting up the story and easing the viewer in before the fun starts. Heaps of blood and gore plus the zomibes are more like 28 days later as they roar and evolve much like Land of the dead to get their victims. Awesome effects and gore fans shuld get their moneys worth here. The ending is strange but doesnt hurt the film in anyway. Horror and zombie fans should enjoy this as What France did to hostel with Frontiers The horde does for 28 days later with this.
