Brillantly made grindhouse film with Hauger at his best. Heaps of blood and gore campy acting and a classy updating of deathwish. The 2 robot bountry hunters were a hoot as well.

Umm, not sure what to say, i love gore and slightly corny storylines (planet terror, deathproof etc)... i was expecting a grindhouse style movie... but this was really lame. i think this is the first time i have given a movie one star. shame, the cover looked good. one star for sort of inventive gore, -4 stars for terrible acting (beyond corny), terrible storyline.

Horrible, terrible acting, far to much pointless blood and gore, a non event story line, watched about 20 minutes and had to turn it off, makes you wonder why they make garbage like that. If I am led astray by the synopsis in the future, please do not send me another of the same ilk.

This movie is the greatest thing Rutger Hauer has done since Blade Runner. Wonderful directing. Thought provoking script. Blasphemous special effects and gore. This movie does not fail to disappoint!

Should be retitled Turkey killed by shotgun. Fair dinkum, what a ridiculous premise and most cheesiest over acted crap I have ever seen. Rutger Hauer I hope they paid you a lot for this dud. What happened to the great actor from the 90's? One to avoid.

It's like a 10 000 volts Deathwish ( remember Charles Bronson) ... so if u know what the exploitation genre is, if you can get over the Gore, the violence, the cheesy dialogues and sfx, this flick is for you. Violence, nasty nasties, tons of blood, bad cops... This technicolor movie is for you. Anything subtle in this just over the top exaggeration for everything. Stupidly funny with a 80's feel to it.

I give Hobo with a Shotgun 5 stars. That's right: 5. I'm not saying that this movie is worth an Academy award. It's story is gruesome, filled with gore and cruelty. However, for those who like B-movies with an air of 80's, this one hits the spot. Check out the music: it really takes you to this magic decade. Just give it a shot. Gun.

Complete CRAP. Total unnecessary violence. Head decapitations. It lasted just four minutes before being stopped and returned. I'll be reviewing more closely in future. I'm surprised you have customers who would require this garbage.

This movie is awesome! It's a great example of a grind house style film. Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino made a good effort with Death Proof/Terror Planet, but Hobo With a Shotgun is what it's about. Bravo! Anyone leaving a negative review knows nothing of movie pop culture and probably enjoys watching Terms of Endearment on a regular basis.

Think Robo Cop, Class of 84, The Exterminator, any of those trashy films from the 80's and you can truly appreciate how Hobo has captured a mood from an entire era. This film looks like it is taking itself seriously, but has perfectly placed the outcast hero in no win situations inspiring the uninspired, beating the unbeatable and facing a world that's no longer scared of the bomb but scared of its self.

Usually you watch a movie and hope it is going to get better or you'll turn it off. In Rutger Hauer's case I kept watching Hobo just to see how bad it could get and I was not disappointed. If you really have 86 minutes of your life you can afford to lose - watch this movie ( ;

An outrageously over the top attempt at recreating the 70's exploitation flick, with mixed results. Rutger Hauer does a pretty good job as the hobo who has had enough in a city that has gone to hell. Some decent action and plenty of bloods and guts. One for the grindhouse aficionado.
