Zac Efron and Vanessa Anne Hudgens star in this Disney Channel Original Movie as popular basketball team captain Troy and smart, stunning academic Gabriella. Great Movie, and good clean family fun.
Reminds me a little of "Strictly Ballroom" with a catty girl in that too.
Good viewing for the whole family, and some very good dancing.

Surprisingly after all the hype my two daughters just didn't find this interesting. Overtly glossy, saccharine sweet and contrived, we parents couldn't stand it either. I guess we're the minority.

My seven-year-old son loved this film. He watched it several times, begged for a repeat hire and badgered his school to show it on break-up day. He thought it was "really cool" but most kids his age like a musical they can relate to. I thought it was typical Disney -- mildly entertaining and very well done but, then, I'm not seven, so what do I know?

We saw if on TV, loved it, bought it! This is an equivalent 'younger' generation version of that classic Grease. Great songs, plenty of energy and lots of dance moves. The craze has gone to my kids' entire school!
