Nothing really new in this, have seen the same type of plots a thousand times before however it was still all right. It has quite a lot of weaknesses though. The villain is one of them. Once he is finally revealed, he is not scary enough and when he is fighting, he looks pretty weak. Just "OK"!

The English language overdub is easily avoidable choosing the original French version with subtitles! Basically a run of the mill horror with an AWESOME introduction via the rock climbing. Enjoyed this one.

Not too bad if you like that sort of thing. The english dubbing over the french speaking was a bit odd.

I was started to enjoy French movies again because of I stand alone and Frontiers but despite an awesome start to this film I am disappointed for quite a few reasons. 5 friends go muntain climbing but are hunted by a wild mountain man and are killed off by one by one. They try to escape off the mountain. The acing is passable and it was decent a French and English version was provided. The direction starts out brillantly with some of the best mountain action since Cliffhanger but halfway thu the story then becomes a 2nd rate Wrong turn without the style or logic. The villian is so poorly done that he becomes laughable but the effects are decent on the already familor kills for anyone who has seen Wrong turn. My biggest gripe is the ending is so stupid it defies logic. A pity they didnt keep up the mountain climbing and rope bridge as if the film did this would be at least 4 stars but it appears they emptyed their magic movie bag of tricks way too soon and the film suffers because of it. Passible but Action fans should stick to cliffhanger and horror fans Wrong turn as both are way better then this.
