This movie was a little different to the synopsis, as others have mentioned. And it is an average, uneventful kind of movie. It is okay, just not the most enthralling movie you will ever see. This movie is about a young man whose father dies suddenly & his mother cannot deal with this, so leaves Whitney to live his life alone without her. Whitney feels the loss of his father greatly and even more, finds it very hard to deal with the abandonment of his mother. He clings to the hope that she will one day return. In the meantime, Whitney draws even closer to his girlfriend as his security in life. To add to this, his best friend Aldo spends much time secretly sabotaging Whitney's relationship with his girlfriend, as he wants her for himself. What is revealed throughout the course of the movie is that Aldo is not exactly "in love" with Taylor, as the synopsis claims, but rather is holding Taylor to ransom, so to speak, and getting her to do sexual favours for him because he knows some of her secrets. The film focuses on Whitney, his efforts to retain his relationship with his girlfriend, his girlfriend's struggles to know what she wants in life, Taylor's disfunctional friendship/'relationship' with Aldo, and a couple of minor side stories. It turns out that, for me, the side stories were slightly more engaging than the main plot. An average movie with an ending that is uneventful but somehow fitting.
Fell asleep watching it, couldn't be bothered watching end of it next day! Not Gay/Lesbian movie. Only a C grade movie for hetroville.
Synopis is misleading.
I would class it as romantic, not romance comedy, and has nothing to do with being a girl or infers he is.
Enjoyable enough. The synopsis is a bit misleading.
