In 1969, The Love Bug introduced movie audiences to Herbie, a Volkswagen Beetle with a mind of its own. The movie was a box office smash and over the next 11 years, three sequels rolled off the assembly line, the last being Herbie Goes Bananas in 1980. There was also a made-for-TV movie and a short-lived TV series.

Twenty-five years later, in Herbie: Fully Loaded, the little car is still looking good – better than ever, in fact. His new owner is Maggie Peyton (Lindsay Lohan) who finds Herbie just at the right time to help out her family – dad (Michael Keaton) and brother (Breckin Meyer). When an amazed Maggie learns what tricks Herbie has under his hood, she takes him onto the fast track to become a Nascar competitor.

On hand to make things difficult for Maggie is bad boy, Trip Murphy (Matt Dillon). But Herbie is not a car to tinker with as Trip soon finds out much to his embarrassing disadvantage. Justin Long is also along for the ride providing some love interest for Maggie. But it’s the new, tricked up, quick thinking VW that provides the real fun – both on and off the road.

What a car. Herbie scrubs up well over the years. Lindsay was talented before she went by the wayside. Liked Herbie falling for the current VW Beetle. Good for kids too old for cartoons and too young for teen movies.

first time I saw a Herbie movie and I loved it! Story line predictable - off course- but it was great fun to watch, and the stunts were truly amazing... humour, pretty girl, car races.... what more do we need in a movie? Excellent to watch...

Molly, our four year old daughter adored this movie. She is a big movie fan after all and now she enjoys looking for "Herbie" cars on the road.

This was an awesome movie. We watched it about 4 times and always saw something we missed. I am not a car buff but this movie was definantly worth watching.

It was fun. Kids liked it too. I've not seen Lindsay Lohan in any other movies and was pleasantly surprised; well cast.

Fun, family movie, remembering the old Herbie! Lindsay Lohan is nice, Michael Keaton is wonderful as always, Matt Dillon is great as a 'bad' guy but our favorite was seeing the 'Ed/Apple'' guy as the love interest! My family love him and it was great to see him on the big screen! He was the glue for the movie! A great movie for everyone!

Good for the kids to watch or someone who really loves watching Herbie movies. But I prefer the original Herbie movies.

Great kids movie. They've taken the over the top antics of the originals and added plenty of modern touches. Well worth a look.

Maybe, if you have no expectations, and you like old VW Beetles! Otherwise, rubbish.

Herbie is almost timeless from the 1960's to the modern edition now, young people and young themes as Herbie goes from the wrecker to the racetrack, good fun.
