With a signature blend of action, humour and character-based spectacle, the saga of the world's toughest, kitten-loving hero from Hell continues to unfold in Hellboy 2: the Golden Army. Bigger muscle, badder weapons and more ungodly villains arrive in an epic vision of imagination from Oscar-nominated director Guillermo del Toro (Pan's labyrinth, Hellboy). After an ancient truce existing between humankind and the invisible realm of the fantastic is broken, hell on Earth is ready to erupt. A ruthless leader who treads the world above and the one below defies his bloodline and awakens an unstoppable army of creatures. Now, it's up to the planet's toughest, roughest superhero to battle the merciless dictator and his marauders. He may be red. He may be horned. He may be misunderstood. But when you need the job done right, it's time to call in Hellboy (Ron Perlman).

Great Sequel to Hellboy. Being a fan of the original graphic novels, and those random vhs 'noir' cartoons that used to be available from blockbuster and video easy back in the 90's, this is a true tribute to the hellboy franchise legacy. watch out for the ugly goblin, damn wheelbarrow orc!

Not as good as the first Hellboy but still OK. Could be confusing for younger children.

As far as slick fantasy action-adventure movies go, this one scores points for its tongue-in-cheek weirdness (thanks to del Toro). Amazing what they can do with a computer these days.

I had read a few reviews that said this wasn't as good as the first, but we found it was equally entertaining. As far as comic book movies goes, this is a pretty good effort. It doesn't try to take itself seriously and is good, escapist fun. The lead character's wise-cracks and his general "good guy" attitude make it a lot of fun.

Good follow up movie to the original. Looking forward to No 3. Only good for those who like fantasy, monster, mythical type movies.

What a really great movie. It was an unusual sequel and different to the first one but it was still a really good movie to see. Quite often the sequels are rubbish but this was an exception.

Great! I think Guillermo movies have the BEST monsters-- he is able to create a movie that is magical, scary, and really amusing all at the same time.

omg i didnt like this movie. but i was lucky, movies that dont pick up within the first 20-30mins i usually stop watching, this was the case with Hellboy 2. My boyfriend on the other hand decided to sit through the whole thing and regretted wasting his time. But coming from me, i didnt watch the first Hellboy and i am not a fan of the comic books. I'm guessing some people out there may enjoy this movie

Thoroughly entertaining film with astounding visuals by the director of Pans Labyrinth and the upcoming Hobbit films, Guillermo Del Toro. Looks great and sounds great. Better than the first, I'd say.

Loved it! Better than the first film, filled in a whole lot of story and set up wonderful things for the future of the franchise! FX were a visual delight!

I really enjoyed the first HellBoy and I was expecting as much from this 2nd chapter. Unfortunately the 2 hours are just too long for such a movie and even if some of the scenes are extremely cool and the vilain is a real ugly pest, HellBoy 2 has quite a few very weak moments. They could have made a 90 minutes movie which would have been then as good or even better than the first. It'll still please the HELLBOY fans and those who like full packed action and super heroes movies.
