enjoyed seeing this movie again and watching the intreging in and outs of politics in Canberra. Reminded me of the squabbling going on in the Labor Party to this day. A recent interview with Bob Hawke is on the DVD and was most interesting getting his 'take' on things happening in politics today.

I actually enjoyed this movie and I wasn't sure whether I would or not. I thought the actor who played Bob Hawke did a great job of depicting him and so did the guy who played Paul Keating! A great 'look behind closed doors' movie and made even more interesting just by the fact that we all know what happened with his marriage and Paul Keatings political career and life post the era this movie was set in. Well worth the watch I thought!

Like a lot of aussie films - and the fact that it was a made for TV movie - it was a bit rough around the edges. Unpolished. But still very interesting and worth watching.

What did they do to Hazel? I remember Mrs Bob being far more active a character than that, and Blanche is nowhere near as cute as Asher Keddie. The story is very biased, but it makes for interesting watching. Keating seems about right...
