Hard Pill (2005)

Tim is gay, single and desperately lonely though surrounded by close friends. In a last ditch effort to find happiness, he volunteers for a controversial pharmaceutical study for a drug designed to make gay men straight. When he meets Tanya, he embarks on a whirlwind romance and cuts himself off entirely from his old life. The future looks bright until it becomes clear that the drug is wearing off and Tim must feign illness to avoid being intimate with Tanya. A final tragedy shocks Tim into facing reality and reunites him with his friends. Far from ending up where he started, his hopes for a happy life- just as he is - may be renewed.
