Not a shade on The Ring! How many killings can occur in as many minutes? Too many!

The Grudge Well I was told this move is scarry, may be a little but it has nothing on the Shinning as fare as possessed houses go

A silly movie but it gets a couple of paws because I managed to watch it to the end and there were a couple of scary parts. Very strange story but typically Japanese (think The Ring... which was better). Don't think I'll bother with the sequel.

This was not scary at all. The only good thing about it was sarah michelle gellar. It was ok, just nothing special - I was expecting to be a littlw scared at least!

The scares aren't there like they are in the original Japanese movie but the plot is easier to understand in this one.

Creepy movie, you can see a lot of "the ring" in this movie, the creep factor is off the scale, the noise the girl makes just runs chills up your spine, see if you liked "the ring".

There is too much emphasys in the shock/horror typical of american movies adn this particular movie is not compatable. see the original in japanese.

Quite scary, it horror doesn't usually worry me much. It didn't help that I was trying to relax with a drink and my cat jumped off the window ledge and scared the #$*% out of me!!! Buffy (SMG) is better elsewhere, but it was pretty good. I'm looking forward to the Japanese version arriving on my doorstep.

Sarah Michelle Gellar does well in this remake of the Japanese original. Quite a few jump-out-of-your-seat moments but the switching between past and present may leave some viewers a little confused.

This movie held my attention all the way. Ben Kingsley is such a powerfull actor in this movie, not taking anything away from the other actors who were also very good. It was sad at the end but excellent viewing.I would highly recomend it.

The movie was OK, typical japanese horror, but I felt it stood still too long.

Scary horror movie with distinctive Japanese style. Was a bit repetitive and fragmented but the scariness compensated.

Excellent! The visual effects are awesome, it will stick in your mind for weeks to come.Though it would have been nice if they could translate what Takashi and the other Japanese were saying in the special features.

A remake trying to ride on the influx of Japanese to Hollywood translations. Watching this alone in the dark it takes you to the point of being scared but when you finally see what you are meant to be afraid of, you just laugh and then the story goes no where.

This would have to be the best horror movies I seen in ages, there are twists and turns and a heap of suspense, there isn't a lot of blood and gore so it leaves you to think about it. The movie has some of the original cast members from the Japanese version plus a few big American names like Sarah Michelle Geller (Don't expect her to do her vampire slaying) and Bill Pullman (He won't save the earth from Aliens). Watch it with the lights turned out and let the movie scare the wits out of you.
