We really enjoyed the movie and the scenery and acting. It was somewhat obvious that the wolves were fake in places and they did seem larger than life too really. We felt that the ending was a bit of a disappointment - but I won't spoil it for you by saying why. Worth a watch. Steve

Wow. Awesome movie. Not what I was expecting at all - I was just thinking this was going to be another survival/horror/action film. And while there was the horror element, the other side to this story - dealing with death - this was just brilliant. If you are after a horror werewolf/wolf movie, then this one might not be for you. If you are after a different exploration of life and death, then this is for you.

Liam Neeson and some other oil-riggers survive a plane crash in isolated Alaska, but then have to face a persistent pack of wolves. For me, this never reached the level of exciting but instead remained grim, if sometimes harrowing. The color scheme is as the title suggests and there are a lot of CGI snowflakes (and CGI wolves). None of the characters are particularly likable and my test for films like these -- do practical efforts yield realistic results -- sometimes fails. If I recall correctly, Dog Soldiers is a better wolf-attack movie.

Excellent movie. Had no idea what it was about when I went into it so it was an unexpected survival movie. The cinematography, acting, scenery was all greatl Left you with a lot to think about too. Men, especially Liam, running away from life suddenly facing death "Don't move just stare back" but take away from it what you will. It only doesn't get 5 stars in case I see something better, then what?

Didn't mind this movie. The landscapes were quite bleak and foreboding. The wolves quite vicious and nasty. Most of the movie was quite believable, but other bits made you think. But.....? All in all a good movie. Expect some longer drawn out scenes, more then fast paced action. Not sure I would call it a psychological thriller. More Action/Horror.

While I agree with the reviews below, know also that this movie was very well made, the direction, cinematography and acting all excellent - and without obvious use of special effects. This situation and story was believable, and convincing. Yes, if its a survival movie you are after, this is well worth a look.

I was disappointed ... I was expecting a thriller, not a survival movie. The wolves sounded more like lions on occasions and they sometimes looked like something from Harry Potter. It was also very depressing with nothing likeable at all really. There were a couple of scenes that really made me jump, but otherwise not a movie I would recommend really.
