Action violence and coarse language

Director: Michel Gondry
Actors: Seth Rogen, Christoph Waltz, Cameron Diaz, Jay Chou, Tom Wilkinson, Edward James Olmos, Edward Furlong

Britt Reid (Seth Rogen), son and heir to Los Angeles' largest newspaper fortune, is a rich, spoiled playboy who has been happy to maintain a direction-less existence. When his father James Reid (Tom Wilkinson) dies, Britt meets an impressive and resourceful company employee, Kato (Jay Chou). They realize that they have the resources to do something worthwhile with their lives and finally step out of James Reid's shadow. Kato builds the ultimate weapon, The Black Beauty, an indestructible car with every weapon imaginable and Britt decides that in order to be heroes, they will pose as villains. With the help of Britt's new secretary, Lenore Case (Cameron Diaz), they learn that the chief criminal in the city is named Benjamin Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz). He has united all the gangs under his power, and he quickly sees that the Green Hornet is a direct threat to the prosperous criminal underworld he controls.

I expected an action flick with a little humour... This movie is trying to be funny with some action thrown in.. SPOILER Seth Rogan was very annoying as the spoiled rich boy, and that wasnt funny. Jay Chou as his side kick, that kicks reall ass... was the real hornet.. The dialogue was bad, the story was poor, the action good. the gadgets they had were awesome..

Admittedly, I do love me some Seth Rogan and I wasn't disappointed here! This movie is great, has some cool action scenes with just the right mix of humour. It's a much lighter comic-book-hero flick which I enjoyed immensely.

Underrated movie. Pity the bad reviews and average box office returns mean there won't be a sequel.

Good humour. Acting could have been improved upon. Witty and a laugh out loud, light hearted movie. Don't expect any depth or an epic classic and you will be nicely surprised.

Seth rogan just annoyed me in this movie. Uusually he's entertaining, but I suppose the overblown ego made his character unlikable. The other guy was good.

Some great effects and awesome vehicles! I agree that Kato made the story, while Seth's woosy, in-love-with-self character did spoil it a bit. Overall though it was a very good action packed fantasy/sci-fi flick - if you go into it just wanting a laugh, you'll enjoy it!

Green Hornet was so much better than I thought it would be. Don't be too critical, just have a laugh and enjoy the ride.

Kato (Jay Chou) made the movie for me!! What an awesome character, Seth's acting wasn't one of his best roles for me; but I did enjoy the quirky antics of the pair.

I never read the comics or watched the tv series but oh boy is this movie awesome! It's full of laughs, action and wish they showed more of Cameron Diaz' good parts. Good movie.

Cato steals the movie as does the car and the coffee...felt like we just got going and it was all over..I feel a second movie coming on..some funny moments and a nice tribute to Bruce Lee

A fairly unfunny movie. Seth Rogen's character turns into a total creeper and his only super power is money. Jay Chou is awesome though, they should've made a movie about Kato. He's actually capable. Sexist enough at times to make me uncomfortable.

Looks like they were trying for a Marvel Superhero film, but ended up with frat boy plays with special effects. Seemed to crash along from one action sequence to another - never really satisfying the viewer or allowing us to empathise with his antics.
