Definately a must see classic, could easily have been a schmalz fest but a fine script and supaerb acting lifts at way above that level. As always Greer Garson is an imspirational muse for Robert Donat's Mr Chipping. One of the great disappointments of movie histiory is that Robert Donaat made so few films.

Very good viewing for all the family, may not appeal to some young folk, but a good old "classic"and really enjoyed by all.
