Medium level coarse language, lowl evel violence

Director: Gus Van Sant
Actors: Robin Williams, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Minnie Driver, Stellan Skarsgard, Casey Affleck, Cole Hauser

Like his friends in downtown, working-class South Bostonian Will Hunting spends his days between menial jobs, street brawling and stints at the local bar. Yet, he can summon obscure historical references from his photographic memory and solve mathematical problems that have stumped Nobel Prize winning professors. But the one thing Will Hunting can not do is talk his way out of a pending jail term and only one man is capable of rescuing Will from complete self destruction.

Featuring Robin Williams in the role that won him an Academy Award and written by and starring Oscar winners Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, Good Will Hunting is an astonishing tale that fills the senses with a fresh, raw energy and heart-felt emotion.

Gloopy studio fodder for some "retarded gorillas", to use the expression from the film. Avoid (if not a gorilla...)

nearly turned it off but as I got into the story it got really interesting. Well acted by all lead actors, Matt Damon is one of the best and Robin Williams was superb. 10/10 for this one

I enjoyed the movie but unfortunately there was a fault in the disc, so missed some of it.

This movie is pure, unadulterated bs. Robin Williams should be ashamed of himself for playing in it. The most memorable thing about this movie was Robin Williams relating how his dead wife used to fart so loudly while sleeping that it would set the dog barking. A cleaner turning out to be a mathematical genius? If you believe that for a moment you are a con man's dream. What utter nonsense. A waste of time.

This film is bogus. Fake scene after fake scene peopled by a bunch of fake characters - none more so than Will himself. If Ben and Matt didn't have some screen writing textbook open in front of them as they wrote this tosh I'd be very surprised. And the ending. Erk. That this was an Oscar winner for anything at all is baffling.

Streetwise tough and mathematical genius must face his personal demons before moving on to a better life. Although the performances are uniformly good the story doesn't quite convince.

What a surperbly written, directed and acted film. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon won and an Academy Award for the scrrenplay, and Robin Williams won one for his best supporting role, when you watch it you will be able to tell why. The supporting cast which includes Minnie Driver do a particularly good job. The swearing in this film has been mentioned as a downside, but i think it adds a realness to the characters, these boys live in South Boston and are living on or just above the poverty line, words are spoken short and sharply with no room for misinterpretation. I particulary like the monolog given by 'Wil' in why he should not work for the NSA. Overall an enjoyable film one that can be watched over and over without loosing any of the magic it created the first time around.

The language is a bit over the top. It takes a while to get into it but it's all good in the end. Love Robin Williams.

While it is a good movie the ending is a little too pat for such a hard nut. Otherwise good but almost too glib.
