Evil Has Many Faces.

The film’s dramatic climax was shot on Paradise Head, a scenic cliff with a 120-foot drop. Shot completely without visual effects, the entire sequence was actually performed by stuntmen and the movie’s young stars, Macaulay Culkin and Elijah Wood.

Evil resides in an unexpected place in this gripping, suspense-filled drama. Macaulay Culkin stars as Henry, an angelic-looking boy who seems loving and loyal to his parents, sister and friends. Only his cousin Mark (Elijah Wood) sees what lurks behind Henry’s smile – secret thoughts and love of deadly games. But when Mark tries to warn Henry’s family, they won’t believe him, leaving the terrified youngster alone to battle his jealous, menacing cousin.

Just bought the dvd and watched again; haven't seen it since I was about 15 in 1995. Remembered how violent a movie it was - and how bad people start as children. Excellent efforts by Macaulay and Elijah.

There are a lot of these 'spooky kid' movies and this doesn't deliver anything new, but it's not bad.

Really good movie. Macauley Culkin plays the cruel and manipulative son well. Elijah Wood doesn't match his co-star's performance but does a good job for a child actor.

What a great movie but what a rotten little kid. If it was mine I would have killed it long before it actually happened. Well worth the watch.
