One of the worst movies I have ever seen, went nowhere and was boring boring boring!!!!!!
I liked it a lot, more because of the great cast than the actual story but it was very easy to follow - these people who were confused about the plot must be a bit thick!
Became a bit tedious and confusing midway through in what was dream and what was reality. However, stick with it as the shock ending makes the whole movie. Probably will never watch it again because it definitely is a one watch movie - unless you have dementia.
We could not persevere with this movie, gave up after about 15 minutes. Not my cup of tea.
Probably one of the most underrated films available on Quickflix. Sure, it's quirky as hell and patience is required. Fully functional and firing neurons help too. But essentially, this is an early midlife crisis movie. A man's reality clashes against his emerging fantasy/dream life, causing all sorts of mayhem. It's difficult at times to sympathise with the main character. Both he and especially his best mate are almost bereft of any level of maturity or self-reflection. Slowly though, one of them begins to grow up a bit. Some great performances by all but special mention must go to Gwyneth Paltrow. The lovely Penelope Cruz is a delight, as always. The ending is thoughtful indeed and will probably be open to personal interpretation. In short, not to be missed by those who enjoy a little thought provocation with their entertainment.
Average movie. Gwyneth was great and had some classic lines in the movie along with the male support actor (very funny) but not quite enough to bring the movie to greatness.
I watched the movie because I have seen some of Penelope Cruz's other movies and liked her performances. This movie is a bit strange... a man is unhappy with his life and then dreams of Penelope Cruz's character in his dream. I think somewhere along the way she becomes real. I couldn't tell. A bit of a confusing and strange movie.
Glad to say good night to this one when the credits started rolling...interesting subject and great actors but the storyline just didn't seem to work.
Seriously inconsequential.
Poo on a stick - without the stick.
The question is... would you start watching your hand/palm carefully before going to sleep?
