A delirious, epic South Korean take of the spaghetti western of Sergio Leone.
Fun performances, brilliant direction and the best practically shot chase finale since MAD MAX 2.
This film is great fun and anyone who has loved good, bad and ugly will see some obvious and loving homages throughout. And the action is relentless. 3.5 stars
It did run too long, but other than that it was great fun. Much better than Good Bad Ugly. The character were clearer and better establised. Plus the feel of it was better.
Love spaghetti westerns and Asian movies. This fills both those genres and has some great music to boot, a must see for those who are tired of super hero reruns.
A very a great movie i really loved from the comedy and the action scene just rules straight out of the great western movies. great chaarcters and the bad is my favourite because he is bad but is so awesome just how he kills people. just an awesome movie.
like all of Kim Ji-Woon's films, this one was spectacularly stylish and well-made, but sadly at times, that's all it is. Despite that, it's still a really enjoyable film. Funny and eccentric with lots of action. Far better than Takashi Miike's Spaghetti Western Django, it makes clear the influence of Leone's western while still feeling distinctly Korean.
Not bad - some funny bits.
