Gone is a terrifying thriller that tells the story of Jill Parrish, a kidnap victim who escapes her captor and a year later is convinced the serial killer who abducted her has abducted her newly missing sister, Molly. When the police don’t believe Jill’s claims – nor her grasp on reality – she takes matters into her own hands and sets out to hunt the killer herself. What follows is a break-neck ride into the heart of fear and madness. Is Jill mentally ill, merely chasing shadows, or will she rescue Molly before it’s too late?

I won't spoil the story by revealing the many implausible circumstances that are contained in the plot, but there are lots. The acting is weak and the characters are not clearly developed. It's a rip-off of "Silence of the Lambs" and a few other, much better, films. Not worth watching, in my opinion.

Really good . kept my attention. I liked the end where she used the police opinion of her against them.

It was alright. Nothing to write home about but I wouldn't call it a waste of time. Lead lady displayed superb acting, very well done. If your running out of movies to watch, put it on your list.

Not to bad did not get the other cops role. As I did not get the reason for him being in the movie.

Have to agree with Cindy on this one. Amanda can't act to save her life and it was a waste having Wes Bentley in the movie as he rarely appeared - there was really no need for his character at all.

Husband and I both really enjoyed this movie. She is a brilliant actress and it's not until the very end that you know what to make of the main character. Really keeps you guessing. Good suspense, an enjoyable thriller.

A remarkable movie with an amazing story to tell. We want to believe this girl, even if the police don't. She seems so likable, normal and credible. Yet we also know that she's been mentally ill and lies compulsively. Can we really believe anything she says? It's a challenge for the viewer. The movie is also refreshingly different from the norm, in that there are none of the usual "big" name actors and it's set in Portland, Oregon rather than in one of the usual "movie cities".

Oh dear. Underneath the ham-fisted direction, silly plot and a tsunami of red herrings there was probably a half-decent idea for a thriller. Pity it never made it to the surface. Gone and very soon forgotten, methinks.I
