Terrific, fast paced movie thyat is best enjoyed sober. Three stories are involved and they do intersect at the most surprising times. This is funny and quirky.. Sarah Polley is just great. Katie Holmes and all of the rest of the cast are superb. This is highly entertaining.
A hoot. Full of good actors when they were young. Great entertainment. Lots of great twists.
A generation gap movie—in fact several generations in my case! Aimed for the teenage and under 35 rave party market, it’s out of my comfort zone. However, the film’s crude tell-it-like-it-is, but clever dialogue, fast pacing, adept acting, and “Pulp Fiction” like format linking three stories together did make for a quirky and unpredictable attention attracting look-in. In spite of this, the dead-end characters are morally disgusting and if this is how many young people view life in the 21st Century, it’s not a comforting reality. There’s plenty of black humour, so be prepared for profanity, sleaze, sex, violence, drug taking, racial slurs and explicit gore. Three and a half stars.
If you were young once and reckless and are fluent in the post modern language of American independent cinema then this movie should impress and amuse the hell out of you as it did me
Unexpectadly good teen movie without too much gloss. excellent storyline, well integrated
Fans of Tarantino, Guy Ritchie and the Coen brothers who missed this back in 1999 may like to check it out. A witty black morality tale with lots of twists, its cast (other than a very young and chubby pre-Cruise Katie Holmes and a delightfully Thurmanesque Sarah Polley), is largely unknown, but it has some very funny moments right up to its almost Monty Python ending.
Great story. I love a film that shows the same story from different angles and different peoples adventures that overlap. If you like this you will love the film 11:14.
