Really enjoyed this one, good message behind it and found myself laughing out loud a few times. I swear Norm, my gnome, moved to the edge of his shelf so he could watch the movie too.. mysterious things they are

Thoroughly enjoyable with a lovely subtle message behind it - that the kids may or may not get - we all really enjoyed it.

Excellent movie. Who would have thought that Elton John could bring Romeo and Juliet back to the kids in such a fun way.

Loved it! The kids will love it, I loved it (but I am a big 50yr old kid)!! Excellent graphics/cartoons, plenty of one liners and referrals to other movies . . . of course, they stayed to the Romeo and Juliet theme, but plenty of humour and play on words.. Worth watching for young and old!

My kids are in love with this movie!! Great for fans who are familiar with Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet - lots of references. Also great for fans of old school Elton John love songs. Fun movie.

Kids will probably love it. Music is good - lots of Elton John, which can be either a good thing and a bad thing, but here is a good thing.

*SPOLIER ALERT* Despite the all star cast, this was very disappointing. There is only so much Elton John you can take in a movie soundtrack, and the scene where Gnomeo gets smashed by the truck had my daughter (5) in tears ... took far too long to get to the bit where you find out he is still alive.

Fast paced and fun, but not many laugh out loud moments. Soundtrack by elton was a good use of his back catalogue. Marginally better than Rio.

the kids loved it. I will admit it did has some good one liners. loved the frog's mushroom joke lol .Always love trying to pick the owners of those animated voices. Michael Cain Dolly Parton and Elton were easy but the others I struggled with.

Unsual movie but had some good messages in it, my 8 year old thought it was good and stayed glued to the TV, so that's saying something.

It is a great litle movie. Light entertainment, kids would enjoy it, however a lot of the humour would be better understood by adults, such as little sight gags and one liners. Quite a few medium funny bits, not sidesplitting but good.

The animation was good, the script was fairly lame, the soundtrack, completely destroyed the movie. Elton John is ok in small doses, however, it's horrendous when every song, background music and action scene tune in a movie is a modified EJ song. Don't add this to your cue...

Gnomeo and Juliet was wonderful with all the music being from Elton John. My 12yr old enjoyed this but I found I enjoyed it on a different level, knowing the music. One of those really good family movies that can offer all family members something different.

Very entertaining! A good balance of fun, laughter and fights with a touch of romance. The humour in some of the lines is amazing - just like the title of the film! The killer lawn mower part was a bit of an overkill though. Lots of warm moments, plenty of laughs and some good graphics.

Cute movie for the younger members of the household although odler members may enjoy it as well. A couple of those "adult" type jokes that often appear in these types of films but they always go over the heads of kids. The kids laughed hysterically in a few parts. I would recommend it for a family movie night, my family enjoyed it thoroughly.

My 9-yr old daughter and I adored this movie. It's funny smart and clever. And it has warring gnomes (red and blue team) - can't get better than that. The voices are spot on (esp the two main characters) and we both cried towards the end (not going to spoil it). Juliet as a ninja is too cute for words. There's none of the Pixar moral message either. Very Highly Recommended.
