Enjoyable but my wife & I did not like it as much as the other members recommended. Sub-titles and in black & white ..OK, but the script had a few holes in it and did not 'gel'.eg the start & the end. Unusual movie, quality acting.

This is a very stylish movie shot in great black and white. There is a fascinating long introduction as the female lead is interogated about her life in front of a male panel. Disappointingly this scene is never explained. Does the Daniel Auteuil male character prey on vulnerable women to be his knife throwing targets? Is he impotent and the knife throwing serve as a sexual release for both of them? There are many interesting ides explored although the film's central discussion about luck in one's life seems rather vague. The ending completes the circle for a surprisingly likeable movie.

There is a lot to like in this movie, one thing being it is not too long for the story (92 mins). Excellent cast, good atmosphere, loved the music.

This is a modern classic french film. A simple tale told elegantly as only the french know how. Vannessa Paradis is captivating in the lead role.

A good story on the fundamentals of life. Life itself that wants to live even at the darkest moments. The great decision is to decide whether it is worth keeping it or not, at it darkest.

A very good film, that left me wondering if the whole story was a dream, or merely the ending!
