She's fighting for her life in more ways than one: if and when she recovers she'll be taken back to Stockholm to stand trial for three murders. With the help of her friend journalist Mikael Blomkvist she will not only have to prove her innocence but also identify and denounce those in authority who have allowed the vulnerable like herself to suffer abuse and violence. Once again, not as compelling as the first movie, but still enjoyable (particularly the ending). I probably wouldn't necessarily recommend the extended cut however, it was awfully long and not sure it added anything (not that we watched the abridged version). Still a good watch overall.

I found this the most exciting of the trilogy. Lisbeth does the least in this one too, pattern? I still don't really get why these films were so revered, they're not fantastic but they're not rubbish either. Nuff said.

I regret getting the extended edition, because there just wasn't very much going on, especially by Lisbeth. Also, the blu-ray had a lot of blur on it. Still sort of interesting to see it all completed though.
