A hilarious and heart warming coming of middle age comedy. During its cinema release the film garnered great reviews, such as 'Four Stars' from the Courier Mail. Globe trotting Christine wakes up one ordinary day to find that her biological clock has gone off with a vengeance. But for a commitment phobe on the wrong side of 40, the road to motherhood is strewn with bedlam, calamity and smoked out eggs.

Supposedly a comedy, but apart from some silliness, the funny moments are few and far between. Episodes from the lives of each of the three friends presented in turn makes sense structurally, but fails the movie as only one of the three is particularly interesting. On the positive side, it's Australian, making it easy to understand and empathise with, and even better for a Brisbanite it's set in Brisbane, which is rather rare for movies.

An Australian film. The director/editor was totally self-indulgent with the sequences where the main character stares into space. I found myself losing interest in the film, and looking away. The acting is uneven. It does however have an amazing end, where a number of the events in the film all tie together.
