Georgia Rule follows a rebellious, uncontrollable teenager (Lohan) who is hauled off by her dysfunctional mother (Huffman) to spend the summer with her grandmother (Fonda). Horrible movie about horrible characters and the horrible things they do. Confusing as anything. One of those movies that leaves you wondering, "what the heck was that?" when it's over.

disturbing issue raised in this movie around child sexual abuse, all sorts of issues and concerns for the child, daughter, grandmother and mother relationship. well done to present the issue; there are no winners in the story told. good on the actors for presenting this irrepressible problem in families and the community

One of the worst movies I've ever had the misfortune to see. Thoroughly, thoroughly dislikeable characters. A vehicle for Lohan, the most dislikeable of the lot. Would have been greatly improved if all 3 lead characters had been kidnapped by aliens, eaten by monsters etc at the end!!!

This movie is a wonderful realistic story that touches so many peoples lives and so worthy of viewing. It unfortunately appears to be a girly movie and it is certainly not. It was marketed very badly. The actors are impeccable and I would rate this movie VERY highly!

This is not the fluffy chick flick I thought it would be - there is a convincing story here, covering some serious adult territory. Although Felicity Huffman and Lindsay Lohan play to type - desperate housewife and spoilt brat respectively - they have plenty to offer, and Jane Fonda is superb, anchoring what turns out to be a surprisingly good movie.

Sorry, but this one did not get me. We were looking forward to a chick movie with a bit of comedy.(Lindsey Lohan is usually good for that) That dark streak running through the movie was not played well. I found on all parts, mother,grandmother and teenage daughter poor acting throughout the movie. Couple of laughs at the beginning, but after that a flop . Sorry, but would not recommend it.

Great acting from Jane Fonda and Felicity Huffman. Lindsay Lohan was definately a let down in the cast.
The movie it's self seemed to go in too many directions and didn't seem to do it's self justice.
I really felt the movie was a let down, I have no issues with the content of the movie - being made a movie, but it just felt wrong.. If you watch it you will understand what I mean. The way the whole topic is mishandled is just wrong.

Lindsay Lohan a spoiled brat she was in her element. Felicity Huffman what an amazing woman. She is soo much more than the Desperate Housewife. I like she gets to pick more role now...a clever lady. And Sexy. Dermot Mulroney with grey hair is a bit strange at first. It does make you look twice.

At first I thought this was going to be a light movie, but found there was a dark vein pulsing an underlying darkness that gave this film more depth than I expected. Lindsay Lohans character was stereotypical although she delivered a good performance.
