You might think that Jerry Dandridge is the perfect neighbour. But before you invite him in for a nightcap, there's a few things you need to know - he prefers his drinks warm, red... and straight from the jugular! Only 17-year-old Charlie Brewster knows Jerry's bloodcurdling secret and when he can't get anybody to believe him, TV horror show host Peter Vincent becomes his only ally against the powerful bloodsucker. It's FRIGHT NIGHT, an horrific howl starring Chris Sarandon (from THE PRINCESS BRIDE) as the seductive vampire, William Ragsdale as the frantic teenager trying to save his girlfriend as well as his own neck, plus Roddy McDowall (from PLANET OF THE APES) as the "Great Vampire Killer" who's in way over his head. If you love being scared, this will be the night of your life!

I loved this film when it was released as I am a fan of the horredy genre, and wanted to watch it again before the viewing the remake. Sadly it is really dated, and it is not as funny as I recall. It is good trip down memory lane if you wish to relive the mid 1980s.

I had to get this one to see the newest one - it was a typical 80's scary movie, had a few laughs as well. Given the era, I loved it - worthwhile watching

ahh 1985, Around the time the NES was born. And INXS was becoming popular and FRIGHT NIGHT? no. It was an OK movie but definetly not one of the best.
