Written and directed by Nicole Holofcener (Lovely and Amazing), Friends With Money was the Opening Night Selection at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival.

Jennifer was truly soppy - and that 'twist' - could see it coming from a mile away, and it was handled with as much nuance as the latest 'Saw' flick,

I enjoyed seeing each couple on a personal level, but I didnt like how the 'poor' friend was a sex crazed 'pothead' with no ambition. I highly doubt in normal social circles that rich would mingle with poor as is done here. Some parts intense and deep but for the most part, rather depressing.

A group of truly horrid people moan and groan their way through lives in which the biggest problem they face is working out what to do with their spare 2 million dollars. The movie is dull (absolutely nothing happens) and the peole are superficial so the only way this is a great chic flic is if you like dull, superficial things. Ugh.

I have no idea why some reviews say this is a chick flick? The only problem with this movie is that it has no answers or ending. It's just a snapshot of life. I am sure we all know or can relate to elements presented in the film, but without digging deeper the movie leaves you empty.

Pleasantly suprised. No story line as such, more a look at how people cope with the hand they are dealt, particularly in relationships. Jennifer Aniston has managed to brush off the airhead persona from her "Friends" days and Frances MacDormand is a gem in everything she does. A couple of unanswered questions at the end but that didn't detract from this being an enjoyable movie.

This one's different. I enjoyed it for what it was, a mature cast & an intriguing screenplay, altho I agree with most that the ending came out of nowhere - but I think that was the idea. Kudos to Jen for making this, a refreshing change from picture perfect happy ever afters & good vs evil etc.
