Actors: Tamsin Greig, Simon Bird, Paul Ritter, Tom Rosenthal, Frances Cuka, Mark Heap, Tuppence Middleton

Twenty-something brothers Adam and Jonny return to the family home each week for a Jewish Friday night dinner of soup, chicken and crumble plus massive side-orders of wind-ups and bickering. With a Masterchef-obsessed Mum; Dad eating from the rubbish bin; Grandma wearing her new bikini around the house, and Jim the neighbour whos terrified of his own dog, its a feat of endurance. And that's before the concerns about Jonny's made-up girlfriend and Dad's non-stop requests for Adam to find a 'female' on the Internet. Wonderfully played by a stellar cast including Tamsin Greig (Black Books, Love Soup) as Mum and Simon Bird (The Inbetweeners) as Adam, Friday Night Dinner is a truly original series about growing up but not growing away.

I had high hopes for this show with tamsin and simon, however it didn't quite live up to either actors previous works. Funny situation comedy, gives a few chuckles, easy to watch

Refreshingly very funny. All the characters have their own idiosyncrasies which at times can make you laugh at, loathe, tolerate or adore them. Give this DVD a try. I see there will be a second series of this sitcom, so I will make sure I get it, too.

Eccentric typically English humour - funny and a bit off the wall too. Great cast and some real laughs to be had, esp if you enjoyed 'black books'

Silly me didn't realise this was a series and thought it was a movie. Quite enjoyable all the same with quite a few laughs.
