Awesome but different then expected finale, but has Jason REALLY gone to Hell?
Total garbage. This doesn't even feel like a Friday the 13th movie. The horrible production values, script and acting certainly are no help. Just don't bother!
None of the subsequent Friday the 13th were anywhere as good as the first one, which terrified me so much when I was 14 I had to have the hall light on when I when I went to sleep for about a week. I think this is because at the time it seemed possible that something like this could really happen. All the sequels have been really corny and very ho-hum.
Hmmmm not one of Jasons best ventures out. Average storyline and it appeared that all the people involved in the later Friday movies just couldn't be bothered making any bits of the movie inbetween people getting machettied to death.
In 1989 Paramonut dropped the Friday the 13th series and so when this came in 1993 I had serious doubts about how this would go. The movie igonores the sequels and moves it in a new direction to keep the fans interested. Jason comes back (no reason) and is destroyed but his heart possesses someone and Jason spends most of the film jumping from body to body "Hidden" style. I have seen 2 versions of this film Big pond has the MA cut down version and I have seen the unrated Amercian version. The acting is excellant in both and both carry the film well but the unrated version is far better as it has the full length kill scenes and they are the most brutal in any Friday film yet (yes even more gory then F VS J) the unrated version scores 2 more paws.
Worth a view and a thank you to big pond for providing this film (not premoting another dvd company)
A worth watching movie if you are a die hard horror fan. I did enjoy it as a teen but now its lost some of its substance. It tries to explain how Jason is immortal but its pretty lame and they seam to be clutching at straws most of the time. Has an OK cast and a great director, I am unsure why it didn't all come together!
