Jason is back, complete with hockey mask. And he's up to his old maniacal tricks in Friday The 13th Part V - A New Beginning. This time he seems to have set his sights on the young patients at a secluded halfway house. And more than a few of his teen targets end up in half, in quarters... you name it, Jason does it. This is the fifth scary installment in the Friday The 13th saga. If you liked the first four, and think you're up to getting back on Jason's bloody trail, you'll love Friday The 13th Part V - A New Beginning.

Wow never got passed 4, and couldn't believe how much I was enjoying this installment. A home for troubled souls a trailer park, various townsfolk, and hick neighbors give plenty of slasher fodder for a jolly old repeater like Jason.

SPOILERS: It was OK. Definitely not as good as the other sequels. It doesn't even have Jason in it, just some guy pretending to be Jason killing teens at a half-way-house. It was a lame excuse for a sequel, however for its time, the plot was rather creative.

After Friday the 13th the final chapter raked in big bucks with its formula of gruesome death and mayhem. Paramont decided to keep the francise going with this re-boot to the series. Part 5 takes the same idea of hide-the-killer and aims for the orginals sucess but it does not suceed as Part 1 has because it breaks the rules set up in the 1st four movies. Tommy is now a troubled and druged teenager sent to a half-way house that helps disturbed teenagers back into the mainstream. After a chubby lad is murdered by a bad tempered one with an axe Murders start to occur. A killer targets not only Tommy's fellow residents in the place but also people in town loosely connected to them as well. The film is reasonable and certainly has fun with Reggie the reckless but comes across as a pale 2nd rate rip-off of Part 1 with 22 kills making it one of the biggest kill factors up to date plus the ending is stupid beyond belief
