Just when you thought it was safe to go back to camp . . . here's even more heart-pounding terror.
Five years after the horrible bloodbath at Camp Crystal Lake, all that remains is the legend of Jason Voorhees and his demented mother, who had murdered seven camp counsellors. At a nearby summer camp, the new counsellors are unconcerned about the warnings to stay away from the infamous site. Carefree, the young people roam the area, not sensing the ominous lurking presence. One by one, they are attacked and brutally slaughtered. Suspense and screams abound in this compelling thriller.

Fantastic horror series. What will Jason (or his mother) do next?

Picking up exactly where the classic original left off its 5 years later and a new Summer camp has opened on Crystal Lake. But a shadowy figure is hell bent in revenge for his mothers death. Enjoyable sequal with plenty of boo scares and scream queen Amy Steel as the heroine. Be sure to check her out in a similar role in April Fools Day. Interesting to note the stuntman playing Jason actually went through a plate of glass in the ending and was seriously injured.

This is pretty good for a horror sequel. Usually a sequel to a horror film can be unbearable to watch. It keeps in theme with the first film, silly teens, intense music, the dark and foreboding camp grounds. I've haven't seen the others, but i hope they're also as good. But i won't hold my breath.

A worthy sequel thou it does have its faults it introduces Jason (in a funny looking sack on his head). It could have done without a guy in a wheelchair getting killed. That was quite low even for the horror genie
