Unfortunate generalizations about the french at the start of the film are quickly forgotten when the rest of the film is quite pleasant and balanced, not too short or long.

I wwas surprised by this movie, I am not usually into rom-coms from the 90's and I hate Meg Ryan but in this I didnt mind her at all. Full of laughs Kevin Klein does a great job as a frenchmen, worth a watch.

While the movie itself is good fun, the cropped 4:3 picture is a major disappointment.

Like anything with Meg Ryan in it, Kevin Kline made a nice rogue, great scenery and although the outcome was predictable, getting there was plenty of fun and on the move.

Meg Ryan is dupped by fiance and sets about getting him back when stumbling upon a dubious french character/criminal whilst trying to overcome her fears. Enjoyed by whole family.

This is one of my favourite films. Meg Ryan is fantastic as an uptight American/Canadian teacher who goes to get back the love of her life (Timothy Hutton) who has left her for a pouting french girl called Juliette. In her travels she meets to unhygenic Luc (Kevin Kline) who is convincing as a smoking french thief! Absolutely one of the best romantic Comedies EVER!
