After their adoptive mother is murdered during a grocery store hold-up, the Mercer brothers--hotheaded Bobby, hard-edged Angel, family man and businessman Jeremiah, and hard rocking Jack--reunite to take the matter of her death into their own hands. As they track down the killer, they quickly realise that their old ways of doing business have new consequences. Its not as predictable as you might think.

An action movie with heart. Four adopted brothers investigate their foster mother’s murder and take their revenge. It’s completely over-the-top and unrealistic, of course, but very entertaining. Features some great performances. Bonus Features: Behind-the-scenes featurettes.

Not family viewing. Very slow B grade movie to start but then picked up momentum. I was surprised how it evolved & I started to enjoy it.. Even the wife enjoyed it, despite the language ! Of course you must realise it is a "SPAGHETTI WESTERN" set in Detroit, race neutral, cracks in the script but great (violent) action scenes rough brutal justice, police miss the boat that helps the script ! The 4 different brother characters move the movie along by running on emotion. Wahlberg carries the movie. Don't take it to seriously you will enjoy the Good bad & the ugly ! Love revenge movies.

A lot of noise and unlikely gun action (eg blasting holes in brick walls with machine guns) made this a disappointing film for me. Whilst the acting was good and some of the dialogue entertaining, the gratuitous violence prevents this film from making my favourite movie list.

Great movie, standout performance by Wahlberg, heading a strong cast. A urban revenge western (reminded my a bit of The Sons Of katie Elder) but much, much tougher.

Good movie - better than I expected. It wasn't just about the action, violence and revenge it had a strong human conection aspect to it too. Four Brothers who stick together, fight together to uphold the memory of their mother.

I too was surprised by this movie. I really enjoyed it. It had humour, good acting and unpredictable twists and turns. Mark Whalberg was excellent. If you have brothers (or sisters), you'll enjoy the symbolic nature of this flick.

Where was Detroit police in this absurb movie? Always turning up after the latest massacre by culprits already known to them - its amazing and yet wafer thin. Oh and yes in case you didnt know, violence does solve everything.
